Based on the history of the series thats always been a central theme
No, it fucking hasn't. Not at all. Not since cod fucking four. Actaully play the series you make rediculous claims about, america is NEVER the central hero in the games. [editline]25th May 2011[/editline] Infact, [sp] an American general was the Big Bad of MW2.[/sp] And they are protrayed as morally ambiguous at best in black ops.

From CoD1 to CoD4 (excluding UO and CoD3), the Brits have been the guys who get shit done.
I'm pretty sure Call of Duty is actually trying to give a message that War is bad, no matter what, and it can escalate really quickly into this big terrible thing. They have anti-war quotes when you die.

I didn't even notice the game had gore until I blew up a German transport truck and seen a guy reaching for his internal organs. It surprised me, i was not expecting gore in a CoD game, let alone that much.
Should be more like this:
would it be foolish of me to say that I'd actually want a gun like that?
would it be foolish of me to say that I'd actually want a gun like that?
Since it also shoots fire, no :3:
http://www.geek.com/articles/games/activision-confirms-next-cod-will-have-premium-online-features-20110510/ Oh wow, if this is true...
Kotick has said in the past that it will only be new features and extra cosmetic items. You won't have to pay for content out of the box. I am fine with it. Let people buy camo for their guns with real money.

If the game isn't worth it to you then don't buy it, same with the DLC. Dunno why this is so hard for some people.
If the game isn't worth it to you then don't buy it, same with the DLC. Dunno why this is so hard for some people.
Because the DLC is a giant fucking rip-off. Half the maps were cut out of the game when it shipped, and the other half are remakes from older games. 15 dollars becomes a barrier between me and the people who bought the DLC, and it makes me enjoy the game less becuase it is either forcing me to spend 15 dollars on something that should be either free or cheap, and separate me from half the community if I DON'T get it. Valve is on the right track with "Games as a service". [editline]25th May 2011[/editline] + They are the assholes who suddenly decided it's suddenly okay to charge 60 bucks for a PC game. The started it with Modern Warfare 1. [editline]25th May 2011[/editline] You know what I've payed 15 dollars for? Braid and Battlefield 1943. ENTIRE.FUCKING.GAMES. For the cost of 5 maps.
I haven't bought DLC for any CoD title ever and have always been able to play. Also if MW2 and Black Ops are anything to go by, less than a tenth of users will buy MW3 map packs so I wouldn't worry about it.

Stop acting as if cod will be the only game ever doing it. Since everyone else sees that it is succesful, they'll rip it off. And it'll spread onto other games, like a fucking plague. Also, I'm not buying this due to the fact that blops didn't work on most computers. Not gonna pay 60€/$ for a game that I can't even play. I miss demos.
If you want to hate on DLC blame all the retards who bought Oblivion horse armor.
If you want to hate on DLC blame all the retards who bought Oblivion horse armor.
Horse armor was only like, 240 points. And they realized how stupid it was and never did it again.
And they are protrayed as morally ambiguous at best in black ops.
if you're trying to tell me that that ending with a dozen carrier ships all together adorned with American flags while jets roar overhead in front of the sunset while guitars play is "morally ambiguous", nigga you fucked up
+ You can get Oblivion + all it's DLC for like 30 dollars, barely a year after the game came out. Modern warfare came out over a year and a half ago and it still cost 60$ with two 15$ DLCs to buy separately. [editline]25th May 2011[/editline]
if you're trying to tell me that that ending with a dozen carrier ships all together adorned with American flags while jets roar overhead in front of the sunset while guitars play is "morally ambiguous", nigga you fucked up
1. It sounds like it's going to portray Americans doing the majority of the fighting in Europe, and the national armies won't appear at all. I mean I'm glad we're finally playing as a Russian for once, but why can't we play as the German military in Germany or the French military (generic French Army surrender joke goes here) in France? I get it CoD, America saves everyone, non-British Europeans do minor fighting. Let us play as an international cast for once.
They were sorta baddies in Blops
But there wern't even and British characters outside of one level. Which was a flashback. [editline]25th May 2011[/editline] Atleast it's a remodel, not just a retexture.
Can't wait for this game. Loved Black Ops and MW2.
But in CoD4, it was more "FUCK YEAH ENGLAND", if I am correct...?
More like "FUCK YEAH BRITAIN". Soap was Scottish.
