To top it off, the person that made the hack also changed the message of the day to his youtube account, asking people to subscribe. I pressed circle before I could see it and it changed back to normal. I would have spammed him like fuck

Yes, every time I go to play a game of it on the PC there always seems to be at least one hacker in the game.
And every server seems to be on hardcore mode as well which pisses me off.

This has started happening a lot more since the PS3 CFW came out, all it takes is a FTP client on the PC, the FTP server on the PS3 and a modded CoD4 savedata to add stupid shit all the time. MW2, W@W, they all suffer from it.
And the Pc version is full of kids using shit like Codehook, which PB has a hard time picking up. I stopped playing most CoD games thanks to this.

I think this may even have been before all the PS3 hacking stuff happened, although it might have been right at the beginning of it.

It was rare to see before, but it did happen. It just took a lot more effort than normal to pull off.

I remember the UFO hack that lasted a week or two on cod4 a year or two ago on PS3. It was pretty fun to do.
Tried playing CoD4 yesterday on the xbox 360. 7 games in a row, infinite ammo. Noobtoobs fucking EVERYWHERE.
removing dedicated servers and matchmaking were a death sentence for MW2, after 2 or 3 years it would never have players, seriously just try finding a good lobby, i dare you

this coming from someone who played over 200 hours of MW2 online, i really liked it despite some major flaws, like the nukes, i'd like to see MW2 as a mix with COD4 of sorts.
Not having a public beta has killed CoD. Every game which hasn't had one has been bad.
Shit hackers everywhere in COD4? I'm gonna have to put my disc in and try it out. The only hacks I've ever seen have been super speed and super jump. But never at the same time.
all you guys talking about hackers in cod4 reminds me of how in codwaw on the 360 version there's a bunch of people who have a bot that makes it so whenever they get hit or get a kill it says something along the lines of "LoL I BoUgHt mOdZ At (some loser's youtube profile here)! (loser's name here) iS a GoD!"
Am I the only one that likes COD4 and World at War?
I liked CoD 4 and World at War. CoD 4 had a well paced campaign with great set-pieces and a somewhat believable plot. World at War had a larger scale, campaign was fun and the Zombie mode was fresh.

And its allways those level 65 high prestige people with the MP40's too, Dont know how they cant get bored of using the bloody thing every single time. I have no problem with juggernaut however, Kinda wish that was in MW2.
And yeah, Call of Duty 4 is a bit screwed too due to the hacking. Its next to unplayable...
And no doubt, Modern Warfare 3 will share the same fate. Thats why im so iffy about it.

I've seen multiple aimbot users on it. don't know why they bother to be honest since the whole killcam thing kind of gives them away.
I hope there's no diving to prone or COD points in this one.

The dive was pretty fun and the CoD points at least made you think about stuff. It wasn't just, get 100 kills for noob tube.

Hope they add that you can shoot while diving to prone, absolutly no precision but it would be badass :v:
It would be fun if they let you dive left and right.
If dive to prone does return I'd welcome being able to turn through a full 180 degrees during the dive.
imagine jumping out of a second floor window with a pistol and nailing the guy chasing you - awesome
would make for some cinematic badassery if theatre mode returns

I don't know about shooting while diving. The whole reason they included diving was to cut down on drop-shotting. If you allowed people to shoot while diving, that would defeat the whole purpose.
