Black Ops ran on the modified IW 3.0 engine and MW2 ran on IW 4.0 engine
It is most likely that MW3 will be running on IW 4.0 engine or IW 5.0 engine

the frostbite engine is graphically superior, I agree, but I praise the IW engines for how well it looks while still not being very hardware intensive

IW engine, i'm sure it's the quake engine..., which they're all modified version, but pretty much the same.

CoD 1 ran on a modified id Tech 3 engine, and was improved from then on by Infinity Ward.
I know before the release of Black Ops I was sceptical but I got pulled in by the Blops megathread which actuallyhyped me up.
They told me there I could fly an airplane in lights speed.
They told me there was an entire level underground.
They told me the multiplayer was a fresh awesome experience.
So Ibought it.
But it turns out I was not piloting the plane, just sitting at acomputer leading some troops
The underwater level turned out to just be a swimming excersise that Icouldn't control down to a building underwater.
The multiplayer was a reskinned MW2 multiplayer in the70's
Not buying this one, no.

Only thing I'm interested is how will the ground vehicles work (Similar to CoD1 and 2 or something else). But the rest..Anyone who isn't on a bandwagon (Or has a reason to dislike it) will enjoy it. Everyone else? Nope. I myself aren't really interested in CoD games. Only played the first two, never was able to try the other ones.

MW2 was a disgrace to the Call of Duty series, Black Ops single player was alright but a big step backwards compared to the other Call of Duty's.
Time to go play Call of Duty 2 now.

$15 for map packs isn't THAT bad when you think about it
keep in mind CoD never has day 1 DLC and rarely has more than 2 map packs for each game total
Look at sims 3.
$20 for a few new tables and chairs, now that's something to complain about
I love living in a baltic country, russian version of any cod game for 20$.
