These sure as hell better be in Episode 3. They're too awesome to just be... forgotten. :argh: If these had been in the game when it was released, I would have been happy enough to burst.
Whys that? I bet if they swapped out the current ones, and put in these, and we were at this point in time today, in the same thread except with the other songs; I'm sure you'd be talking the same way.

That's pretty fucking awesome man! Thanks for uploading. Edit: That first tune sounds a lot like one in RE2 :raise: Fuck I think it is.
1. Badass! Gold Star! 2. Congratulations Rusty!
'Path to Borealis' is the best song I've ever heard. Holy shit, I can't stop thinking how awesome it is... Mr. Antonov and Bailey have my utmost respect as composers.
I want the keyboard tabs for 'Path to Borealis'. Now.
Route to C17 reminds me of a song that appears in Doom Final - TNT Evilution... :raise: I might find it somewhere and post it here. And here it is. This song sounds pretty like it.
Path of borealis, that could have been used in someone important death in Half-Life 2 during canals-eli, it would fit... Also, valve could release ALL beta and alpha content for SDK, for modding and examples, also, just a question, Industrial Suspense track is ACTUALLY used in Half-Life 2?
All of these, i think they are at SDK, and maybe GCF, i remenber hunts mod for gmod9, it have these musics...
No, they don't. Edit: ps download link added to main post.
I love Path of Borealis, it's the game too.
I love Path of Borealis, it's the game too.
Yeah but not the full one. Is it?
Yeah but not the full one. Is it?
Nah, but still, a sort of cut version is.
Path of the Borielas  Hope they put it into EP3
Path of the Borielas  Hope they put it into EP3
It would fit so very well.
Great stuff, the download link is broken though
The ending of Path of the Borealis is also in the full game, the part that sounds like it's coming from an old radio.
Can someone please fix the link to all of them? And, I must say, Path of the Borealis is the one song I've been looking for!
i keep getting 404 errors when i click then download link. Can somebody upload it somewhere else?
Path of Borealis is beautiful. I'm glad at least some of the song got into the final game.
Most of them are really cool, but don't really fit in HL2. Also, hl2.devtrack is ripped from Animusic... http://youtube.com/watch?v=fd3LwxCzuGY
Or is that animusic track ripped from hl2.devtrack? :raise:
Uploaded it: http://************com/files/130574328/Alpha_Soundtrack.rar.html Replace the stars with r apidshare.
I'm only guessing, but I doubt the Alpha would be any better than the beta, and the beta was pretty bad, the leak I mean.
What the fuck, I don't remember saying this.
I don't know if you want this, but I have all the old hl2 videos on CD that came with CS a few years ago.
I don't know if you want this, but I have all the old hl2 videos on CD that came with CS a few years ago.
So do I. When I bought Condition Zero back then I thought it was a demo or something. I wasn't very old though.
Most of them are really cool, but don't really fit in HL2. Also, hl2.devtrack is ripped from Animusic... http://youtube.com/watch?v=fd3LwxCzuGY
http://youtube.com/watch?v=3ahoqR6OGdM&fmt=18 Same video, new link. Edit:
Path of Borealis
Oh wow, I remember that one. Best game soundtrack ever. It fits perfect to the storylines of Half-Life.
Path of Borealis. Best hl2/alpha song ever.
One of the earliest HL2 videos. Media Tags won't work.
Holy shit! The nostalgia! I remember watching those videos over and over again. I still remember watching the one tech demo where they showed breakable wood and a ragdoll mattress for the first time. Back then, it seemed so incredible.
I like these better than those in the game.
I thought i was hearing things when i clicked the box to listen to hl2.devtrack! I'm not implying anything, but that is the 'flagship' music piece for Animusic. That piece is called "Future Retro" Here is a video of that piece. It is the first song on the first DVD. It was written by Wayne Lytle and David Crognale. Each song is a MIDI file that is then tied in with an algorithm, and outputted into 3D rendering software to create great music and video. Each piece has a different set of 'instruments'. Here is another popular video called Pipe Dream. I don't know what it is about Animusic that appeals to everyone i have shown it to. It is just plain cool. I really have NO idea what it's doing in the HL2 alpha! EDIT: I see that someone has already discovered that the music is from Animusic, well take this post as more evidence, and something cool to watch! EDIT2: Download link for the .Rar in the OP is broken :( Please fix.
Wow, while listening to Path Of Borealis, I think of the old Half Life 2 Alpha, and now it is gone. Also, I think what HL2 could have been. Quite emotional, I tell you what.
