Dare I hope that this means that both the 75mm L/70 and maybe even the 88mm L/56 might get a buff since L/70 doesn't have to be balanced as a tier 5 gun. Buff aka their historical penetration values. Anyways I'm happy that the Pz.IV is going 'historical'.

L/70 is a decent gun, short 88 needs work.

Enemy Type 62 Parks in bush nearest the creek in the center of the map, thinks that somehow, none of us see him.
No less than 5 tanks (including me) fire at the same time and end his day.
Type 62: "WTF? How did you even see me!? AND ONE SHOT!? I want that hack!"
He procedes to tell us about his crew with all 100% cammo and other junk and both teams confirm that he was hit but multiple tanks at the same time.
Type 62: "That's not possible! It's a hack!"
KVM says he's played >6k games, has 1320 EFF and wins 51%. (So, by comparison, I should uninstall because his stats are better.)

The top MG turret and R2-D2 are big cheese wheels that absorb almost all rounds. The angled sides of the KV-5's turret on either side of the mantlet are decently soft, provided that you are straight on with them.
The engine deck is also a good place to shoot for, but it's a more difficult target unless you've got the jump on him.

Just make sure to grind some more money (especially if you don't have premium), that thing leaks money until you get the L7.
In fact, grinding for the M68 and T110E5 completly removed the need to play the game for me. I still need to grind 12 million credits to get the 268 and T110. Playing the T34 just isn't fun and the KV-2 doesn't print nearly as much money as it did as a T5 with T10 matchmaking.
I'll be back once open top German TDs are out, I need that Sturer Emil.
Meanwhile, my IS-3's BL-9 misses every tank and dings off the bottom of KTs to hit the rear track wheels.
KV-3 with the Zis-6 "Groundseeker" reporting in.
