The T32 is probably the best T8 in this game (well, I have yet to try the KT), it's basically a Pershing that trades a little mobility for a fuckton of armor and a better gun.
Sure, the penetration isn't exactly enough to frontally rape a Maus or IS-7 but as soon as you're hull-down you'll ding them all day long.
The only problem is the M103 which in my opinion is a downgrade from the T32 in everything except the gun. Unlike the T32 you can't cout on the turret dinging anything and the hull is "lulsorandum", some days you'll bounce BL-10 shells, the next day you'll get penetrated by a KV-5. The M58 kinda makes up for it though, it's an amazing gun.

and even then make sure you have at least the KTs long 105 researched, otherwise you're at tier 9 with a 200~ pen

every now and again I get people who ask me how I can enjoy playing the Hellcat in T8 matches
the fact is, doing 250+ damage to a wide range of various T8 tanks is great, and there's no difference for me between a t8 and a t6 match (which I never seem to get anymore.) other than I have to be a bit more conscious about my cover, and what's possibly exposed.

M103's armor only seems random because it depends on whether the person you're fighting has a brain or not. It's armor is deceptively thicker than the listed values say though, and you can force some really weird penetrations by wiggling or angled maneuvering when an enemy underestimates your armor.

Yeah but those god damn lower hull corners.
Anything can pen them.
The upper hull isn't even that thick, as soon as you go over 220 pen it's swiss cheese. There's also that moment where a KV-5 penetrates your upper hull (not even the driver's hatch) with regular ammo at its most angled part.
The T32 was much more reliable for the armor, I'm the kind of player that goes hull down on everything so the M103 really didn't fit my playstyle. It's not even because of the cupola, it's because the cheeks are weak as hell and the mantlet can be penetrated by E-75s with the 128.

The cheeks are hard to pen generally though, mostly cause a little wiggling on that can force a mantlet hit. The M103 is definitely different from the T32 though, I tend to use it in more of a weird heavy/medium role as a fast attacker, using its huge DPM to crush shit. You have to expect to take damage in that tank though, you have to take damage to deal it in the M103.

It's just an E-75 with less side armor, tiny less acceleration, terrible turret placement and less gun depression. (1 with the 105, 3 with the 128 - 7/5 compared to the E-75's 8.)
I already have everything sans suspension and turret.
The 4502b is pretty good, had one in beta. Was nigh impenetrable, although that's obviously changed with T9 mediums.

Well, what it has is better frontal armor and a harder to hit cupola (due to distance.)
At the cost of everything else. And a machine gun port. That said, it's not terrible. :v:

Pretty sure i'm the one with the foch155 and the long 100 and the 120 are very much worth it.
