Firing AP rounds, they could pen all T1 and some T2 tanks. which is all it needs to be able to do. How much damage rifle rounds will do to tank health pools is debatable.
That is probably just a stock upgrade though, I'm sure they would defy history to give it a 20mm.

Thats true but if I remember correctly, they got the shit kicked out of them by T-26s armed with 45mm gun (practically the same one the MS-1 is armed with). But yeah the AP rounds could easily pen them but I'm sure the range and accuracy is pretty poor.

One game, the top tier (and only tier 8) T32 camped at base the entire game so that he could get a good kill count as the wounded opponents dribbled in to cap. He got 4 kills but didn't get his first until he was the last on our team alive. Seriously, sans the lower glacis, nothing under 270-280mm pen is getting through your hull at a distance. And nothing under 303-400mm pen is getting through the fucking dumbo turret. Only weak spot it has is the driver's hatch (due to being flat), lower glacis and cupola-pike thing. And even those most people don't know about because there's so few around. :v:

Yeah the armor is ridiculous for a t9. I have hard time penning them even with the JP E-100, seems to ding half of the time from med-long range (short is easy pen tho)

Problem is, tall tanks (E-75) make the angled armor worthless and short tanks can hit the paper lower-glacis effortlessly. When people don't know about this, though, and you're hull down. It's fucking amazing.

While playing today I kept thinking about something, what would happen if they gave the maus the jagdtigers 12.8?
I mean right now it seems like the one of the best ways to balance the maus with the other being more armor.
The rate of fire would be about the same as the other tier 10s, the accuracy would be good, good alpha and pen.
