Serb has some serious issues with Germans as a faction, calling them "Ancestor killers" and such, taking rather nationalistic and perhaps a bit stuckup onlook on the thing. Simply put, some people believe he's biased.
I would like to point out that apparently he's no longer in the creative process of the game and even then, there was no real proof that he deliberately "gimps" German tanks under playability of other nations.

Yeah it's getting M48A2 turret with 90mm M41 and 105mm L7 like M48A1, that's obvious.
It's still a much better hull.
