Is having a T7 TD/HT or T8 MT a crucial thing to apply to FP clan?
Having a tank is crucial. Anything from t1 to t10 will do just fine.
I dunno how srs your US clan is but we at EU accept simply if you're a FPer.
All right, I have an account on EU so I'll apply soon.
WoB info http://www.gamingnexus.com/Article/World-of-Battleships-Interview/Item3384.aspx Highlights
Will one player control one ship or will multiple people man a ship? For destroyers with multiple guns will you control the guns independently or are they tied together? Think of an average battleship with a 1,500-men crew, and imagine what it would look like with more than a thousand players running it in the game! I’m exaggerating now, of course, but we won’t give multiple people control of any one battleship. We’ll stick to the “one player – one vehicle” concept for battleships, battle cruisers, and aircraft carriers. As for other classes, a player will run two cruisers at a time and will get to control four destroyers at a time. In this case, players will only get direct control over one ship, while the rest will be AI-controlled. For the multiple guns, you’ll be in charge of the main guns only, while AA guns and secondary guns will be AI-controlled, as well.

How will matches be constructed? About how long will each match take? Will they be modeled after historical situations? How many ships can participate in any one battle? We’ve chosen 15-minute fights, where each team will include a mixed roster of different ships controlled by 15 people. I didn’t say “15 ships in each team”, because, as I mentioned before, one player will be able to control several ships at a time. This means that if all 30 players step into one battle with destroyers, we’ll observe a simultaneous fight of 120 machines. But this will be a very rare case.

What kind of damage model do the ships have? Is damage positional or does the entire boat take damage at one time? While working out a sophisticated damage model, we decided to stick to an easy-to-operate hit points system. E.g., you can penetrate the main belt and not penetrate the armored deck slope at the same time. To make the task a bit trickier, ships will feature an intricate authentic hit location (you can either damage or destroy guns, engines, rudders, barbets, etc). Basically, ships won’t just be boxes you can hit; they all will be divided into multiple damage zones.

Is World of Battleships the last game in a trilogy or do you have other games planned? Seems like submarines might be another place to go... I’d rather keep my lips sealed on this one. I can only hint that we are considering a plenty of places to go.
[editline]30th July 2012[/editline] New post-battle statistics preview, coming in patch 8.0. It's in Russian because it was posted by a random dev, but you get the point somewhat. There will be a fuckload of info, including how much damage you did to each enemy tank, how much exp each tank got, how many penetrating hits, how many and what criticals you did.. etc.
Post battle stats should have been added months ago. It's the best way for users to ensure WG's scoring mechanisms are actually working. Remember when WG still thought tanks damaging other tanks of a higher tier got paid more, even though that wasn't in the game anymore?
8.0 seems to be turning out into a "overhaul everything" patch.
Is there any, even vague, information about 8.0's release date?
Is there any, even vague, information about 8.0's release date?
Test server in late august-early september. Release in september
Very nice, this means I can play it before my summer vacations end.
8.0 seems to be turning out into a "overhaul everything" patch.
Does this mean Wargaming finally got their asses into gear and is going to put out a good patch?
Also M3 Lee is pretty fun when there are no tier 5 tanks and above. [editline]30th July 2012[/editline] Also broken merge.
Also Conqueror in the first stats pic (mislabeled as jp e100 because devbuild)
-snip-
Those battle statistics look awesome. Wish they would come sooner then 8.0, wait...
Test server in late august-early september. Release in september
What's the prelim changelog for 8.0?
Every match I'm amongst braindead idiots. Suicide rushed 5 times in a row now to get out of the shitfests
What's the prelim changelog for 8.0?
Well, they keep claiming everything as coming in 8.0. So by my count: British tanks, physics, post-battle statistics, new render engine, multi-core support. Who's taking bets on how many of those features actually make it?
I wonder if they will include the Ise Class Battleship in WoB. Seems like it could be a premium ship or something.
you know you lose when
When pubbies.

We don’t have any details to share about that just yet. This is all work in progress, so it’s possible that what you see here will be different from the final product. We want to hear from our community, let us know what you think of the proposed changes!
20 bux says mlp
Facehug a tiger, get hit in the back of my turret by a friendly M37 killing my gunner and commander, shouldn't have been camping.
That Conquerer is looking awesome. What is the British tier 10 heavy?
Is it just me or does this game finally seem like it's moving on the right path? It's baby steps, but we're seeing Russian things get nerfed (even if slightly) and Germans getting tiny buffs (even after the wake of the frontal transmission fiasco.) A man can dream of the day when they remove artillery and refund us all the XP/silver we put into them. :v:

They don't even need nerfs, the IS-7 is balanced enough, so is the IS-4 (hell it's getting a buff in 7.5) and the 704/268 are glorified paper turds. Meanwhile they're fucking up the French light/medium lines and won't give back my BatChat's mobility.

i think the MM 2.0 is really what's making it better, nothing else really.
I do think it's moving slightly in the right direction. Maybe they've noticed that whenever they make the game better, people spend more money on it.
British tanks delayed.
British Tanks won't be released in the 8.0. Only one Premium vehicle will be added, but nothing more than that.
