Brothers in Arms is actually quite a good perk to have, even if its quite minor. All the clans typically use it for there top clanwars tank.
I use brothers in arms for really slow reload tanks like the KV2 or arty because it shaves off some reload, but for other tanks there's a lot better skill to take imo.

HE works fine. Aiming for weakspots pays off now, and hitting heavily armoured spots isn't as effective anymore.
Fuck wargayming up the ass, they have completely buttfucked my T-43. It plays completely different now: It has a much weaker, but faster shooting gun, and the tank is a bit faster overall. I really have to get used to this new playing style, it reminds me a lot more of a higher tier T-34 now.
Also I think I just had a 122mm shell fly straight through a hummel and detonate on the hill behind him without damaging him at all in my IS. Then I got shot by three hummels at the same time.
I stopped grinding my T-43 after just a few hours. My T-34/85 stats are horrible and it felt like the same tank.

I really liked the T-43 with the 100mm, and I did really well in it, just like with the T-34/100. I don't know why, I just kinda "got" the playing style, as I used to do consistently well in them. Now I can't really get my head around the T-43, as they have changed it a lot.

So basically they're just going to be artillery without the orbital strike overview? Then they should probably put the StuG III or IV in there as well since it was originally designed to be a assault gun or have the line branch off of it.
