Got the SR2 a few weeks back for 20 bucks. The missions are so fucking fun. I'm running it at 1024x768 with some of the settings to low/off. Game still looks good.

I've been taking a break for a while, but just put together a new checklist for stuff going into v1.9. I should have a beta soon sometime this week. Just a quick test to see how close I could make a replacement loading screen. The goal is to substitute different cutscene moments or characters on load for GotR. Wow, I thought modding for SR2 was long dead. Looks like I'm wrong! That's some amazing work, IdolNinja. Looks like a good reason to go through SR2 again with a friend :D

Just a note that I've finally got brand new custom missions fully playable in the upcoming release of Gentlemen of the Row v1.9. Anyone who knows me can probably guess that they are going to be balls out batshit crazy chaos funtimes. We also had a major breakthrough regarding file formats that has put us one giant step closer towards realizing a Saints Row 1 total conversion. More details soon. :D EDIT: Spent the day integrating all the new logos, and made this new one. Well, I am a little bit happier with SR2. After creating a female character(tried to make her look like someone, a korean celebrity or something), and I thought about using her as the screw around with cheats. However, I did more than the old character, including beat one of the insurance fraud missions(unlimited sprint), and beaten both Trailblazer missions(they were annoying). All that's left is Ronin drug trafficking and other Insurance Fraud. Hell, I think I tagged more, and beaten more races. Also, they should allow you to change the Saints colors(I would pick Red, Black, and Gold). By the way, what tag do you use for the Saints? I use the woman angel/devil one.

What is everyone's favorite activity? Mine: Well, Mayhem, and FUZZ. Mayhem because you blow shit up and can cause people to run with a satchel on their back or head. FUZZ, well, you can end a damn uprising with a flamethrower, stop a domestic dispute with either a grenade or chainsaw, and take down skaters with satchel charges.

Definitely insurance fraud. Though I haven't played this game in ages.

Only thing I didn't like was the fact that the controls felt loose. My character never seemed to do what I wanted, walking or driving. Plus the city always felt dead. Still fun otherwise.

Still wish I had a better computer so I could play Saints Row 2 on the PC(with GotR mod). By the way, least favorite activity is either Escort(in some cases, its funny, but the whole take the two people on the other side of the city is annoying), or Heli Assault(got shot once and the helicopter flipped over, goes from easy to FUCK YOU *gang that is trying to kill your team*).

Say, what is everybody's favorite crime on FUZZ? Me, its the battle of the century(with annihilator), runaway tank(easy way to get the APC), and the chainsaw massacre crime. [sp]*sighs* I can't believe I am saying this, but there's a chainsaw massacre in progress.[/sp]

Why is this thread dead? What happened to the Row?

I will start SR2 as soon as I put another harddrive in my computer and make it a dual boot with XP.

This thread is always dying. Let me breathe just a bit of new life into it: So I am in love with the Gentlemen of the Row mod our buddy IdolNinja has put together, but I could really do without the part that makes it so that defeated gangs never stay really dead after doing their missions (you know, how even after you finish their storylines, there's still a territory owned by them and they'll still try to retake another territory from time to time), so my question is this: what tools would I need and what should I do to remove this particular functionality? Also, if I decide to use a cheat (like, say, infinite ammo so I can wreck shit with the Annihilator just for fun and profit), what exactly does it mean when my save gets flagged? Does that mean I can't save anymore? Does it mean I can't gain Respect when I have cheats enabled? I know that it disables achievements on the console versions but I don't see any noticeable effects for cheat saves on the PC version.

The game stops tracking your stats.
