It's on sale now, only 2.5 Euro, just bought it. 11 gb will take a while.
I will check to see if I can buy it. Also, let me just say it here, right now. The laws of physics can kiss my ass. I want people to fly 50-100 feet and land in the other side of the map, and I want to fly when I hit a gas pump.
Well, I got 2 problems. 1. I can't play it right now(comp is too weak, will lag, but nothing a new computer can't fix) 2. Lack of money(well, my money situation, its shit at best, fubar at worst).
Accept my friend invite on Steam so I can make your broke ass Christmas wishes come true. :P

I loved this game. Reinstalling now. Never really had problems with it on PC and with the mod from Idol it looks like it'll be a great play through.

And in that crib, directly in the center of the room in the Ultor symbol is a car garage. So, you can now take out vehicles and drive them crashing through the window 200 stories up to the street below. We also spent hours and hours in coop trying to jump motorcycles out the window into hovering helicopters resulting in all sorts of hilarious fail.
Great game, love being a complete ass.

PM when it says redeemed.
i bought saints row 2 for the PC. i loved it, contrary to the bad things people have said about it. it does lose framerate for like a second in big crashes and explosions. but other than that it is PERFECT. go buy it.
Ok, redeemed it, thanks again. Now on to getting a new computer by building it, and then blowing shit up. First off is to wait till its installed after my new computer is ready, then on to install its patches, and GotR, then on to blowing shit up. By the way, computer used right now can use Steam and its features, but not its games. Which one should I get, open or regular version(I plan on using a 360 controller for SR2 PC, used to its controls, and plan on unlocking the new shit, or I can use the open version and start my rampage in Stillwater immediately). Quick question, what is a good motherboard and vid card for SR2 to play on max settings with 30+ fps(is that even possible)? Also, will these things work: Intel i7 Quad Core 6-16GB RAM 200GB SDD(those new hard drives that have less storage, but they are more powerful)? And are some of the unique vehicles customizable?
Well, if you want the open version right away then you'll have to use the old v1.8 instead of the sexy v1.9 BETA 7 with all the new goodies. I plan on doing the open version for v1.9 once it's finalized. Either way, you'll want the 360 onscreen build version so you get the onscreen 360 prompts for your controller. I'm personally more of a fan of the regular version and earning all the new stuff as unlocks.
Thanks, about the 3 parts I might use, is that good enough for max settings(will disable the 3 that cause the most lag), with a 1-2GB VRAM nvidia/ati video card? Remember, every third act needs a minigun. Fuzz activity is still my favorite, code TEXAS(chainsaw massacre), pirates are fighting ninjas(battle of the century), and stolen APC. I also found out that it takes a couple of satchel charges to break up the fight of the century(they survived a couple of satchel charges).
The biggest bottleneck is how the engine streams data from the hard drive into memory. With those components (tons of RAM and a ssd drive) and a good vid card you shouldn't have any problem.

Anyway, trying to buy SR2, but Steam is denying my card for no reason, unless $7.50 > $80. Edit: Got a buddy of mine to gift it to me, gonna let it DL while I'm out of town :buddy:
Thanks, will try to find those 3. Also, this is the only game that I created more female saints boss than male(I have created around 3-5 female bosses, and 2 male, then again, I like the female boss more in SR2). I mean, the 2nd game that will have more female saves than male saves will be Fable 3(when I get off my 360's usual game and play it, and getting the evil/weapon achievements). I wonder how many people will realize what the first Ronin mission parodies(hint, a complicated plan in an old game, the plan for SR2, go in casino, SHOOT EVERY FUCKING THING STANDING NEAR THE SAINTS AND THE FUCKING MONEY). IT(the person above me), I meant in Fuzz, I had to break up the fight of the century(pirates vs ninjas) and the camera guy said use satchel charges. Those fuckers took 2-3 satchel charges before dying.

It's definitely worth the money. I've always looked at it as a less realistic but more fun version of GTA.
Playing through this again with one of my friends on co-op. Having a ton of fun. [img_thumb]http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/273/sr2pc2010122302052098.png[/img_thumb]
:wtc:

I'm trying to buy this game from Steam purely because I want to play GotR. But I keep getting "There seems to have been an error initializing or updating your transaction. Please wait a minute and try again or contact support for assistance." when I try to buy it.
So how do I get this game to not run like a pile of farts?
Shitload of RAM(4-16GB), a good motherboard, vidcard, SSD/HDD, and a good core processor(Intel i3/i5/i7, AMD I don't know). Is an intel i5 Dual Core good for SR2?
I have 6gb of ram and I can confirm the game is playable (40-50 fps) at 720p.
I'm kind of determined to find another game that has a hot-dog suit in it.
For references: I have a Quad Core @ 2.4, ATI Radeon HD 5770, 3 GB of RAM and I get about 40-50 FPS (although sometimes it gets a bit choppy when driving really fast) with everything (except dynamic lighting, which I prefer off anyways) on the highest. I have a really low amount of RAM (especially considering I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit) and it still runs fine.
Does the PC version have in-game advertising like the 360 version? Just wondering. Also, is it possible to add a new car(if so, maybe be able to recreate some movie vehicles, like the Ecto-1)
Anyone wanna buy me SR2?

Why thank you for that wonderful link but those smug bastards over there overlook my posts every time.
I loved SR2 for one thing and one thing only. The fact that you could choose your voice, and one of the options was a fucking bastard cockney accent.
