Does the PC version have in-game advertising like the 360 version? Just wondering. Also, is it possible to add a new car(if so, maybe be able to recreate some movie vehicles, like the Ecto-1)
The Volition community manager swears up and down that the PC advertising billboards work, but none of the PC players I know have actually seen it show up in game. I'm actually poking around to see if I can do some custom stuff with it. lolboobs would probably be pretty funny (and fitting for this game.) ;) We still don't have tools to edit the meshes, so new cars aren't really doable yet.
W7 fast forward bug...fastest prison break out ever.
Open and Regular versions? What?
Open = everything costs 1$ Regular = Normal game

Headgear animals: Be insulted by people for being a possible furry. vaginaboobie: Are you this immature or is this a funny word(blame nectorus or whatever her name is on the l4d forums, she created a l4d/l4d2 family in sims 2). I meant where it shows real life products, or shows the Ultor logo. Damn, wanted to see an Ecto-1 with the siren it has, while playing the theme song of Ghostbusters.
As much as I'd like to play it. I can't, because the developers didn't learn jack shit from when they made Red Faction Guerrilla. Same exact problem existed in SR2. The game is being sped up apart from in the cutscenes. At least on W7, worked fine on Vista. Still, they aren't even bothering to fix it so I'll pass.
Got this game since it's only 2,50 on steam, and it's running at double speed and there's nothing to do to fix it, fucking asshole developers.
Ok, I bought Saints Row 2. Can someone show me how to install Gentlemen of The Row in a few hours when it finishes downloading?
There is a fix if you guys would just fucking do some research.
There is a fix if you guys would just fucking do some research.
I already did I ton of research. There is nothing official.
^ Last five posts made me laugh. Also I wish SR2 made like SR1 and released christmas dlc, haha.
Installed Powertools or whatever it's called, but it still runs at the same speed? What speed do I need to set it as in the config file?
Installed Powertools or whatever it's called, but it still runs at the same speed? I can probably give you an initial value to try if you post what cpu you have and the frequency. There is also a stopwatch test we released as part of our initial info gathering. I still need to clean that up for release with the Powertools, but holidays have been a bugger.
Intel Core2Quad Q9400 at 2.66GHz is what I've got.
Intel Core2Quad Q9400 at 2.66GHz is what I've got.
I don't have data on a perfect sync, but try 0.78. That should get you close enough to playable until I can get the actual stopwatch test released.
Here's the new revised stopwatch test to use with Powertools to get a good value for the ini. http://finalack.com/Idol/sr2/Powertools_Speedup_Stopwatch_Test_v1.2.rar
My friend bought me this game last night. Been having fun screwing around in co-op.. But I'm having an issue with the game crashing my graphics driver every 30 minutes. Does anyone else have this issue or had? Specs if needed: ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB, CCC 10.12 Core i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz 6 GB DDR-1066 Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate By the way, it's not overheating. I check my temps afterwards and they're always around ~67c Now it's doing it every 30 SECONDS. I tried turning my graphics options and resolution down, no change.
Try upgrading your drivers. Not sure yet. Also, while playing the Fuzz activity, I heard this again: "I can't believe I am saying this, but there's a chainsaw massacre in progress." I bet her job sucks now, people in Stillwater spraying shit, blowing up cars with a flaming ATV, college kids chainsawing people, and pirates fighting ninjas(although the last crime is awesome). I am wondering, why do I always make a female character(well, almost always) in SR2. I guess she is better instead of the other 3 voices(or 5 if you count FV2/3). Anyone going to buy SR3 when it comes out(if on PC, it better not be a fucking port, and supports windows 7).
I'm using the latest drivers. :\
part of me wants to reinstall saints row 2 and part of me wants to say fuck that reinstall gta4 which I have on disk and won't take hours to download i'm torn!
...So if I turn ambient occlusion on full it fixes the graphics driver crashing. Oh well. I don't mind losing 10 frames if it means a stable game. [editline]28th December 2010[/editline] Nevermind. Happened again. Fuck.
SR2 can be pretty crash prone, but never that often. You may want to try to verify integrity on Steam. Also, is it crashing during gameplay or at cutscenes? If it's only at cutscenes and you're using Powertools, it could indicate a problem with outdated Direct X libraries. You can grab the latest ones here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en
It's not a game crash, it's a display driver crash. Crashes randomly during gameplay. Never in a menu, hasn't happened during a cutscene yet.
So um...streaking mode. Didn't know how to end it. Kinda awkward when family walked in. :v:
So um...streaking mode. Didn't know how to end it. Kinda awkward when family walked in. :v:
put clothes on your pervert
So um...streaking mode. Didn't know how to end it. Kinda awkward when family walked in. :v:
Now that's a pretty funny visual. Down twice on the d-pad (or arrow keys) will end any diversion/activity/mission. You would still need to get to your wardrobe afterward though to cover up your shame.
Uggh. Still doing it. This is really bugging me. :(
is there a fix for the random crash while doing the second ultor mission? after i watch that dude make the presentation and go to the next mission, the game randommly crashes and i lose my progress...
Uggh. Still doing it. This is really bugging me. :(
Maybe try rolling back your display driver? I've been helping people troubleshoot sr2 issues for the past year and this is the first time I've heard of this particular problem.
is there a fix for the random crash while doing the second ultor mission? after i watch that dude make the presentation and go to the next mission, the game randommly crashes and i lose my progress...
That particular mission has never caused me any trouble, nor have I heard of anyone else having issues with it. Could just be coincidence, or something else going on in the background. Maybe try reboot the box and attempt it again?
I just got Saints Row 2 for the 360. I must say, it's like a less serious GTA. I love it.
