You can do some impressive shit with the character creator, here's two of my favorite things the community has created:

Protip for getting ammo:
Get a stun gun.
Find an enemy with a lot of health - assassination targets usually fit the bill as they are always armed as well. They must also have a weapon of the same type but NOT the same weapon as you have.
Take down any other enemies.
Stun gun the target - they will drop the weapon, you can walk over it to pick up some ammo, however you will NOT pick up the weapon itself.
When they get up they will pick the weapon up again and it will automatically fill with ammo. Stun gun them again and they will drop it again, giving you more ammo.
Rinse and repeat until the target drops.
I always make a point to do as many side-missions as I can after the prologue "starting a new gang" missions until I've either gotten infinite respect or I've done all except the racing ones (and occasionally I'll omit the Celebrity Bodyguard and Escort missions because they're the hardest, but the bonus stuff you get from completing all of them can sometimes be too hard for me to resist.)

Or you could just complete the activities that give you infinite ammo
Like Fuzz in the Projects for pistol, Drug trafficing in the airport for shotgun and Snatch in Downtown for SMG.

downloaded the Gentlemen Of The Row mod and am going to create a new character. I personally don't like the one mod that keeps remnants of the conquered gangs alive but the other mods in the pack kinda balance it out. a lot. almost too much.

just started a new character. female. redhead. managed to up my graphics a tiny bit, so now I have HDR, but full Dynamic Lighting is still just a pipe dream for me. supposedly I could've changed the colors of my nails, which would have helped when I was still creating the character. but I didn't find out until I took a break from playing after rescuing Johnny Gat. now I'll have to pay a plastic surgeon to get my nails didz. thank god the game likes to give you 500 dollars for each mission.

I play with the official Microsoft xbox360 PC controller so the game controls, well just like it does on the xbox, so no problems with controls for me.

Co-op fun
Does the gentlemans mod improve how the game runs at all? It runs like utter shit on my PC :crying:
I personally feel the handling is fine once you get used to it.
Anyone have any trouble getting control of neighborhoods? I've wiped out the Ronin and Brotherhood second time through so far, but this time on the PC, and one neighborhood from each is still theirs. One from a stronghold, one from a mission. This glitch isn't all that serious but when I look at the map and see two different splotches of color my OCD kicks in.
Is there a cheat that gives you control of certain neighborhoods?
Yeah, I never got control of the trailer park area after doing the stronghold.

Well, I got contacted by IdolNinja (the guy who put the whole gentlemen of the row mod together).
He addressed the gang control stuff, and even gave me (and all of us) a build to the 1.8 beta of the mod.

As much as I love SR2 the PC version has a lot more glitched then the console versions, but that usually just makes it funnier
