[QUOTE=Pilotguy97;35554616]So wait, what's the plan with employment in Korea now? Are we staying in other companies to sap pay like someone said earlier or are we still all going to work at Glorious food/grains?
And, just because I'm curious, do we have any plans for what we're doing after Korea's liberated?[/QUOTE]
[QUOTE=VistaPOWA;35554662]Should I move to Korea after reaching level 7 or stay in Lithuania and make money?[/QUOTE]
Korean FPers work at Glorious Grains/Food.
FPers with me in Lithuania work at well-paying Lithuanian companies and stick with the dollar-a-day plan until we're 30 days old (time limit until we can change citizenship).
What this means is that everyday you save a dollar from your wage and when the time comes to migrate to Korea, you convert all your (then useless) Lithuanian money to Gold which can serve a variety of purposes.
After Korea is finally completely free, then we can focus on just strengthening the economy so other players beside us can safely live, work, and purchase goods there. Not as glamorous as driving out invaders but still just as important.

[QUOTE=tekgen;35555006]Right now there is only 20.9 Gold worth of KRW (=729.4) so there probably wouldn't be enough to support the exodus, but it is a start. Most FP'ers coming to the country need food for their xp, not KRW (just need KRW to get food). If we have a food company OR if we have a food buying agent buying from brazil (they offer food at ~0.01 gold ea compared to lithuania which is ~0.02) , they buy mass amounts of food and then post it on the korea markets, we didn't buy KRW for it so the inflation doesn't kick in.[/QUOTE]
If you don't get a finance position I'll eat my hat.
Speaking of positions, why did Scientist remove the list/cabinet like thing from the OP?

and the koreans almost pay 0.028 Gold per Q1 Food right now . Profitable action ... Buy brazil currency BRL or some other low cost currency , buy lots of food , sell it on korea market for 0.8 on the dollar (undercutting all the comps. there) ... we still all buy from scientist2 at whatever he sets (he needs to set price = cost) to keep his company running well and people paid. But essentially the company should be there for people to turn their 1 work turn a day into the amount of food they produce (their productivity -> wage -> wage buys food they made) or we can pay them nothing and give them the food each day (more of a hassle though but avoids tax)[/QUOTE]
Hey. You. Explain how you figured that out, because I can't read the monetary market. It's like, am I buying gold, or selling it? also, you should totally watch the gold prices drop/raise.
Here. My view on the market and why i can't let everybody work for me (The facepunch companies) yet:
[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/2y7iH.png[/IMG]
Long term, we will undercut all other companies in product markets (preferably scientist2 or whoever is the company leader, so it seems 1 mega company is doing it all) by buying on foreign markets and selling on korea markets until revenue = cost (we are breaking even) , and then in the case that someone decides to sell beneath us (thus they are the cheapest product sales in all the world haha), we buy all that product up and then undercut the highest cost foreign market for the that product thus profiting there as well.
indians are fight for us win our country back from them :v:
[QUOTE=Scientist2;35552920]Raalph you are insane[sp]ly fucking awesome!!![/sp]
Raalph has donated 27 gold to the cause!! and since he is one of if not the highest member in the community i think he should get one of the leading roles in the future. Perhaps a military office or something. We will work that out later.[/QUOTE]
And while I think it is incredible that he donated so much, positions should be earned, not bought. Additionally, I think we should be prepared to try and find a job for anyone who is interested.

I'm watching it all very carefully. Its a really stupidly designed market. Say you have gold and you want BRL , you choose BRL as the buy currency and gold as the sell then you we get something like 1BRL = 0.0708 GOLD that means you take the amount you want to buy (ie 10BRL then times it by the ratio 0.0708 to get 0.708 Gold for 10 BRL , and to buy it you type the 10 in the buy input field)
Also looks like you can't buy less than 0.01 of anything (although the server seems to hold the floating values somewhere because rounding does / will sometimes occur)

Isnt that war just a training war? In which case, they just fight for which ever side will keep the battle going the longest.
You people broke my precious automerge!

You are right and i based it more off his level than his donation. I just think it would be a loss of talent if we wouldn't assign such a strong player!
But i should have made it obvious that seats are not for sale. We are a democracy after all!

what's that? I have no ieda what's going on.

My mistake. I made the reworked OP by making a Reply and editing it until I was done.
I forgot that Replies don't include anything in Quote tags, which the cabinet list was in. :S
Should be fixed soon.

This is easy to solve so long as everyone works together (might not be easy then...) You give wages corresponding to exactly how much they produce (or as close as possible) then they spend all their money on the food you sell (preferably equal to lowest in market), thus they get the food they need and the company sales along. People who don't reinvest all their wages are kicked from company (right?)

The easiest way to recognise what you are buying is by watching the amount of currency you can buy.

Its not intuitive at all, gave me quite a headache as I tried to figure out formulas for all the possible combinations of currency trades.
lol and scientist, you seem too friendly to real drive slave labour. Both Justin Tyme and Abdul payed just minimum wage, and hired way more employees than the typical company.

That depends on the situation. If people can buy stuff from our factory's that's always encouraged!
[QUOTE=Hidole555;35555029]Korean FPers work at Glorious Grains/Glorious Foods.[/QUOTE]
Then in that case i'll need a skill level 3 slot in either come day 222, if you'd be so kind scientist.

A training war is when two countries have a war during a time of little activity, just so they have a venue to fight which allows them to gain XP and to stimulate the economy.
[QUOTE=monkey11;35555217]lol and scientist, you seem too friendly to real drive slave labour. Both Justin Tyme and Abdul payed just minimum wage, and hired way more employees than the typical company.[/QUOTE]
I can easily take the wages down to 1 wan a day but then people won't be able to buy gifts anymore so they will train a lot slower.

tl;dr = do slave labour, gift people the food they made === everyone wins.

What is the minimum wage in Korea anyway?

Varying. skill lvl 1 = 1 to 2 Wan.
lvl 2= 2 to 3
lvl 3= 3 to 4
lvl 4= 5+

Why can't our skill 1's work at glorious grains/food?
If you need the money to pay them Scientist just convert some Gold to Won
The wages are retardedly low.
[QUOTE=Hidole555;35555265]What is the minimum wage in Korea anyway?[/QUOTE]
Good question, as it doesn't appear on the economy page.

I can do that but in the long run that will just make us lose money, right?

[QUOTE=monkey11;35555283]Good question, as it doesn't appear on the economy page.[/QUOTE]
Oh you said minimum. Let me find that out for you.
[QUOTE=Scientist2;35555267]I can let you in right now if you want.[/QUOTE]
I'm at econ skill 2.5 right now so I wanted to wait until I worked again to get to econ 3 and then join. Streamline it, if you will.
Though it would mean I work another shift at SK guns, so there's that.
[QUOTE=Scientist2;35555259]I can easily take the wages down to 1 wan a day but then people won't be able to buy gifts anymore so they will train a lot slower.[/QUOTE]
until they get into the upper echelons of production , gift buying is wasted money anyways (better off buying Q5 food) , and once they are given more Q5 food then they need (with the slave labour --> gifted food scheme) , THEY can sell excess on market and buy gifts with profit.
