So is Korea going to take back Chuncheon from Russia?
I just signed up as Themage in North chongcheong.
Apparently they are adding new country's right now! [editline]15th April 2012[/editline] If North Korea is going to be added you guys know what to do right ?
Is it possible to move the companies then?
Is it possible to move the companies then?
No but i could sell them or just let them be for south koreans to work in.
Call them Lesser North Koreans? We could move their and get insta-citizenship though.
My feelings tell me they won't add it though.. but we'll see.
oh, if you guys didn't read the announcements, they're not adding NK
I think specific countries get added when lots of people request them or something similar to that.
Huh, seems there's a few RL Koreans around SK that I've seen around fairly well in eRepublik. Highly doubt I could convince them to help us in any way though.

So I haven't been keeping up with the thread a lot. Are we "down" with the "man" yet?
So I haven't been keeping up with the thread a lot. Are we "down" with the "man" yet?
Almost the opposite at this point.
http://e-sim.org/article.html?id=24628 day 223 update
Why are we so obsessed with Korea when we can obtain one of these brand new countries merely by having new members signing up there instead? It would be trivial to get a full FP party and congress and from there, accept the rest of us as citizens. That way we also wouldn't have to stress about stepping on anybodies toes.
Almost the opposite at this point.
Well then fuck the man. Let's go loiter around their 7/11s and shit.

We could just vote on what of the new countries to go to, so the majority still get what they want. But that would make it look like we were trying to PTO south korea
Well I cast a vote for Malaysia.
so, How do I vote? I go to that page and I don't see a "vote" option.
I traveled to Colombia and I'm going to try and open up a company there if I can get the amount of gold needed to create it.
All of us that are not Koreans can go congregate in a new country with instant citizenship. If we get a free pass to Korea, we can all easily migrate. If not we have a back up plan. I personally want to go to Korea but the process is iffy so it might be nice to have a fails safe. That way we can also help shape a new country. [editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
so, How do I vote? The problem with all these new countries is they're something the large empires will certainly attempt to infiltrate and invade. There's no way Indonesia wont take over Malaysia. No way the South American countries wont fall to Argentina and Brazil. No way Belgium wont be invaded by Netherlands. Best places to go would be Pakistan (still near Indonesia) or Norway.

They are holding out against Lithuania, even when Lithuania led a surprise attack during NAP negotiations. You gotta look at projected population for the newborn country and the actual population of the established neighbor. Not to mention taking into account the political situation. Does Brazil have a lot of allies that would help absorb other South American countries? Does Indonesia have allies to help them absorb Malaysia? Could we make alliances to protect us against potential attack?
People can't declare war on them for 30 days anyways, why not join them?
Trying to abandon Korea so soon? So some bad opening moves were made, that doesn't mean everything's ruined. I think the best thing we can do is, after we've given them some time, get some Korean officials into a position where we can communicate to them that we bave a bistory of sincerely helping Korea (show them the eRepublik thread) and that we have a list of people who are oyal to our, no Korea's ca=ause (show them this thread) so they can just accept them and reject the other people not affiliated with us without worrying about a PTO. Some agreements might need to be made if they still resist. I would imagine something like new migrants would not be allowed into politics for a short time, but even if it did come to that it would be a minor handicap compared not being a citizen at all. And if they ask for gold, just shut up and pay it. What I think is the biggest reason this whole debacle is happening is because we were hesitant to donate 10 Gold to the government organization. That raises flags as if we we're actually committed to helping Korea out, paying such a small sum is nothing compared to how much we get in Referrer gold. Besides... If you've read the newsletter the admins published, it says that existing members can only go to the country if they are a RL native. I'm assuming that as proof you'd have to demonstrate you can type the language fluently.

If we get people into power then the incumbents are going to view this as a potential PTO even more. Honestly, if we are going to try and get into the political system we need to go all or nothing. Anything in between is still going to look too suspicious and could be counter-productive.

What we want is for the Russians and the Indonesians to GTFO and for the Korean economy to reliably supply goods rather than having Koreans barely scrape by. This is achieved through acquired military strength and money. If we simply organize and control contact with the Korean government, I am confident we'll still be able to convince them to let our people in. Remember, they haven't seen this thread. They question our intentions because we didn't show any proof to back it up.

However, that doesn't mean it won't be the perceived goal when we have people going into government positions. Showing them the thread might help prove our intentions, but it could also backfire if the Indonesian government found out and perceived us as a threat.
Snip. I messed up and posted in the wrong thread. box me.

I doubt the Indonesian Empire will be fazed in the slightest.
