Thank you good sir, that will supply many more contracts! Also scientist, let me know if you want to sell anything in netherlands (you can sell things remotely) or Korea (their import is rather low) I also am always looking for people not in Lithuania to sell things on their local markets , so that we can skip the import tax.
I love the smell of smuggling in the morning. updated the page 1 list.
Everything should be fine now.
Thank you! I'll make sure I pay you back.
no one is gonna buy q5 foods in korea. :/
jung3o , you receive 7 gold once you reach level 7. I check everyone's xp and propose a contract that will meet their needs to get to level 7. The amount of food you accepted will easily get you to level 7 if you eat it and fight for the next 3 days. If you are still worried I will cancel the debt. I am only doing this so that our members get to level 7 faster.

Well Mexico is now fully invaded by Brazil. Turkey is pushing into Israel and doing very well. And Spain is trying as hard as it can to survive against the Portuguese.

I'm more amazed no one is gunning for the new countries. Probably easier to PTO them.

So how's the situation in South Korea looking like at the moment anyways?
So how's the situation in South Korea looking like at the moment anyways?
AFAIK, we've hit an impasse. Our only options are to keep trying to secure a way in, force our way in, undermine the government itself or do fuck-all. We've pretty much unanimously agreed to do fuck-all for now.
Well, forcing our way in might be the best option honestly.
Well, forcing our way in might be the best option honestly.
What do you mean by forcing? Control the government? If we did that we'd be no better than a PTO, something we're going out of our way to prove we are not.

If we did that we'd be no better than a PTO, something we're going out of our way to prove we are not.
Yea, but if the government is controlled by a bunch of corrupt assholes who can't see past their nose, maybe a PTO is something South Korea needs and deserves to retake it's borders. We may be at a conflict of interest, we don't want to force ourselves into Korea, but the point is to benefit Korea greatly. We might have to make a choice. Hopefully not, but we should have a plan prepared for the worst possible situation.

I have access to the PMs. I know what really went down. Why not just try apologizing and try again? [editline]16th April 2012[/editline] We made one small diplomatic mistake and we're acting like it's their fault.

They will let us in so it doesn't really matter.
So then there's nothing to worry about then. They will let us in so it doesn't really matter.
No because we never gave the money, calling the request for a donation "outrageous" when we didn't really know the low value of gold in this game. It's because we backed away when they extended their hand, it was an awful mistake but we still can correct it.
extended their hand so we could put money in it
extended their hand so we could put money in it
You're not listening. 10 Gold = Worthless. I could easily pay it myself and I've been playing for less than a week. He wanted it as a sign of trust and it would be used directly to help the government's own organization, not into his pocket. Then he would have been able to let us in after we gave him the list of players. Keep in mind, from his point of view we could easily pick people loyal to only Lithuania and give him the "all-clear" to let them in and wreak havoc.
I did a little math to compare leveling up for gold compared to buying it. Right now my job pays about 10 LTL a day, and gold costs around 20 LTL. In two days I could buy 1 gold from the market, or I could buy 15 Q5 food and get 5 gold from leveling up, so it looks like my best option is to level up right now. The only issue with this is that leveling up get more difficult each time, while buying gold gets easier as your economic skill increases more or less logarithmically. I just reached economic skill 4, and it's going to take me 24 more day to get to 6. I've been playing this for 7 days, and that means I'll reach it at day 31. If the plans haven't changed, that's pretty much when we're hoping to achieve our goal. At economic skill 6, most jobs pay around 18 LTL a day, which is around 1 gold a day.

You can and should work each and every day, and make money (0.5-1G worth) with no downside. What you decide to do with that money is the question. Buying food to level up just speeds up your leveling , however it cuts into the amount of money you gain when you level. The real decision is how much money to put into food and what quality, but this only determines how fast you get the gold, and the more food and higher quality you buy, the less gold you get. Eventually you hit a point where every level takes 4000xp and at least 37 days. In terms of Q1 Food, this would cost 32G , and in terms of Q5 food this would cost 64G. If you are using the food to fight a war anyways, this obviously wouldn't matter, but otherwise you are incurring a loss. edit: For example, I offer contracts amounting to the gold value of 10 , 20 or 30 Q5 food , in the form of debt due a day past how long it would take you to level (thus obtaining your leveling gold). Whether you work for say 5 days , spend the money on the food, or accept my contract for food, level immediately, pay back the debt, then work for 5 days, those 5 days are all the profit you would have spent on the food , so it amounts to the same thing in the end. [editline]16th April 2012[/editline]
10 Gold = Worthless. I could easily pay it myself and I've been playing for less than a week.
This is very true, I've calculated that if a player joined the game, played for 30 days without buying any food, they would be level 8 and have AT LEAST 27G worth of currency (0.5G /day * 30 days = 15G, level 7 = 7G , level 8 = 5G), assuming they do nothing but logon for 30 seconds each day , click work and train and dont even bother fighting. AND there are 88 of us so far (or more , because some people haven't posted their names yet) . In a months time , we will have accrued 2376Gold (88*27G) if everyone spends that 30 seconds each day. To put that in perspective, the most costly military unit in the game , BAY , with a 20% increased fighting factor and 50 members, cost them 2500G to set up.
