I've been playing through it, and I've gotta say, I'm not very impressed.
You're supposed to be one of the hulking badasses from Bioshock 1, but everything is the same. You don't stomp around, you move at the same speed, your massive weapons are no better than the normal guns, and you die just as easily. Bioshock 1 was enjoyable because you felt vulnerable and your weapons felt powerful. Now it's the other way around.
The PC controls are also very sketchy - you can tell the mouse sensitivity was intended for a controller.
Hacking is much improved though.
Uhhhh
1: Yes you do.
2: Yes they are.
3: You're an Alpha, not a Bouncer.
4: I, nor anyone I know has had any problems with the controls.
Just beat the game. I'm a bit mixed. I'm glad I got all the trophies on my first playthrough (I also played it on hard my first time) because I'm not exactly sure I could stand another playthrough. It just doesn't have the spark of the first. It's a good, enjoyable game, but it's just missing the "umph" of the first.
I do like some of the changes they made, namely the hacking method. But for the most part, the story was bleh, and even at the end was pretty uninteresting. I'm kind of surprised they didn't come up with anything else.
I certainly hope they don't take us back to Rapture for Bioshock 3. Seriously, they need to go outside of it now. Depending on the ending you got, it's just screaming for a sequel.
There really is no BioShock without Rapture.
I had to turn down the DPI i was using with my mouse, or it would bounce around. Was really weird

Delta.
Just completed it, it was darn awesome. Loved the ending. I got the Good one
Also I found [sp]Mark Meltzer from There's Something in The Sea[/sp]. That was cool.
I was disappointed that there wasn't an ending boss.

I think that having no ending boss was fitting enough.
I mean, you wouldn't really expect to be fighting Lamb would you?

I disagree. Unless they make it a prequel per-se, and show Rapture before the war and all the chaos, I'm really sick of seeing it all dilapidated. There's a lot they could do on the surface story-wise.

No. You are Subject Delta, an Alpha Series Protector.
Or to be politically correct, you are Subject Delta, the 4th of the Alpha series, and the first to be successfully bonded with a Little Sister.

Thats what i'd like to see.
As you prgress through the game, the order of Rapture slowly deteriorates and the citizens become increasingly insane and spliced.
Sorry for the bump, but I just bought the game a few days ago. Should I specialise using the drill and buy all of the tonics/upgrades to master it? E.g. drill specialist, drill lurker, that sort of stuff.

Awesome, okay. How many Big Sisters are there in the game? I've faced two so far, collected no research yet. I need to get to research level 4 to get Drill Vampire. Will I be able to do that before the end of the game?

there's no set number every level/for the game, there's just a small chance of them coming to wreck your shit every time you harvest/save a little sister

and yes you will

From months ago, I know, but while this would be cool, the point of Rapture in Bioshock 2 is that its community is reforming. You come across areas of splicers somewhat getting along, unlike the first game. Like in the chapter with Simon Wales, there's a tavern full of splicers just hanging out until you bust in and murder them all to get the tonic and Power to the People station. In fact, there's almost a small community in Simon Wales' area, and the point of it is that Ryan was right and Rapture is reforming until you come along and sink half of it into a gorge.
Does anyone else still play multiplayer? I feel like I want to reinstall and play
I know this game was met pretty negatively by a lot of my friends, but I loved it!
Not Bioshock 1 good, but damn good if I do say so myself!
It wasn't met negatively, PC Gamer gave it 80 something. It's just not as good as the original, which was no surprise since it wasn't being made by Irrational Games.

Also I got some figurines.

I have the Rosie as well now, but I can't be bothered re-taking the photo.
Finally completed the story. Anybody who still has this game on xbox, want to play multiplayer sometime?
I'm still searching for a local store that had some of the Big-Daddy dolls in stock. Probably won't find one, but a guy can hope.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who enjoyed the multiplayer in Bioshock 2.
In my honest opinion, it was the best balanced multiplayer game released in 2010.
I liked it, but Bioshock has always been about the SP for me.
One the things i love more in Bioshock is the soundtrack, i'm 23 but i love that kind of music. The singleplayer is awesome and funny, but i liked more the first Bioshock than the second one, the MP is nice but for my taste it gets boring quickly.

I don't think it's balanced at all, the high-level loadouts ruin it for me.
The special edition is like 10 bucks at a local store. Going there to buy it tomorrow.

The music is gorgeous. Welcome to Rapture always got me for the original.

Eleanor's Lullaby always did it for me.
Also looking forward to Bioshock Infinity.
[editline]13th February 2011[/editline]
Next year. :smithicide:
Go online, see everyone higher level than you using ressurection and the best weapons.
I never played online again after i got to level 50, its just not worth it
Also looking forward to Bioshock Infinity.
Infinite not Infinity.
Also the fact about the Big Sister showing up in the OP are wrong, she shows up when you put the last Little Sister on that level in the vent.

This guy was fucking great and well developed.
I didn't half want to just punt that fucking thing into a wall though.
