I do not care the this was leaked. I will not be purchasing Crysis 2 and would not own Crysis and Warhead had they not been given to me as gifts. No opinion on the game one way or the other really, but I hope you guys actually accomplish something with this.

I'm not gonna say that crytek are playing favourites with the consoles, but I will say this: [b]Crysis sold incredibly well, despite the piracy problems and despite it being a PC exclusive[/b]. There were piracy problems, like most games, but it was still [b]incredibly successful[/b]. That said, I'm not pretending PC sales would be anything close to console sales, nor am I saying that piracy is a big issue on consoles: It's not. All I'm saying is that Crytek moved to multiplatform development because of the increased audience and therefore revenue console development provided, not because the piracy rates on Crysis were so bad that it put them in some kind of financial trouble. Your 'evidence' is just Crytek bullshitting about why they're making games for multiple platforms now. Not that I have anything against them for that, it's certainly not up to the standard of hateful profiteering that goes on with the CoD series.

why
crysis was one of the most unique, best designed, best looking shooters on the market
even now, 3 years on, it is still among the best, mostly due to the industry's relentless emulation of CoD stemming any real progress
I hope they still release their future games for PC though, I don't care about it being "Exclusive" as long as Crytek remain as a PC Developer along-side being a console dev.
I've never played Crysis, but I saw a video of the leak looks SEXY, so could someone point me to a download link for the demo of Crysis 1?

I never noticed that. I just did a quick play of the beginning of the game just to see. Hell, with Night-Vision on you can see multiple little specks of light flying around the island that are probably aliens. That's pretty awesome.

This is not a good analogy. It's more like if you had a pot of money that people contributed to, then ONE OF THEM took it and threw it in the street. That's no reason to "punish" the entire company, and by that logic piracy is OK regardless of whether the game was released or not. "It's there, why not steal it!?".
Their best bet is to slap some Ubisoft-like DRM and exclusive content on it that will get some more people to buy it.

Well, I just got Crysis and Warhead and I can run Crysis on high settings without AA pretty fine. Have to check out Warhead soon too.

Ah, how many trees I've already shot and/or knocked down in strength mode.
Not as much fun as sneaking up behind enemies, going into strength mode and meleeing them though, that always gives me giggles.

Expect a flood of signatures if it takes off
I'm sure Crytek isn't losing very much money because of this leak. The majority of the sales will come from console gamers.
Crytek are going to lose plenty of sales from this, presumably from people who take advantage of it being free, or those who plan to test it to see if they like it and if they don't (which is fairly possible because it's a beta build) won't buy it, and will maybe even go to tell their hurrrr buddies how bad it is, and so forth.

I just wasn't impressed beyond the physics, which weren't anything holy shit revolutionary, imo. It just didn't appeal to me at any point. Like I said, I hope you guys make an impression, and I hope everyone who signs the petition actually buys the PC version of Crysis 2.
