Usually when devs give estimations on how long the campaign is, it's how long it would take you at max.

I'm really liking the concept of the retro lancer. I'm always a sucker for slow, powerful weapons. If it makes a good compromise between the Hammerburst and lancer, I think I'll love it. I loved the Hammerburst in GoW2, but the close quarters was really lacking. Having something that is a middle ground would be amazing. :buddy: [B]EDIT:[/B] Nevermind, just watched a video of the retro lancer on Youtube. It's not like what I thought it'd be, but I still think it's cool as fuck. Short ranged, but lethal is totally fine with me. It also looks sexy.

I absolutely loved chainsawing people in Gears 1 and 2 and hearing them scream at me about how I have no skill, and I really want to be able to do that again in Gears 3, but I'm afraid they've nerfed the chainsaw too hard now, so that it's basically useless in the face of the shotguns and retro lancer.

Of course my Xbox Live Gold would run out the day before Gears 3 comes out.

I'm so glad that Epic are releasing this the same day everywhere, rather than saying "fuck you Europe, you wait 3 days for no reason while everyone else plays it before you".

Just got up to Act V (which is the last for those interested) Hopefully get this finished tonight after work. Only bad thing is that there's hardly anyone on beast mode so only had one chance to coop. Having a blast on the versus though. I didn't feel the chainsaw was underpowered at all. I keep rotating through the starting weapons though, not sure which I prefer in MP although the sawn-off is very satisfying.

Fuckin'. I'm hoping for Gears to come through my door by the time I get back from college. I keep telling myself not to get my hopes up since it's a day early. But still, all that's going through my head is "GearsOfWarGearsOfWarGearsOfWarGearsOfWar"

Gotta go through 2 days of boring school before I can finally pick up my copy, and that's if the line isn't too long, which it will probably be out the door and around the corner. And even if I get it, my friends won't have it so I'll really have nobody I know to play with.

One thing that really puts me off gears multiplayer is the god damn shotgun. I never played the beta so is it any different in Gears 3?

But now that there is next to no lag and the rifles have been buffed, it can definitely be countered quite easily by other weapons as long as you keep your range.

come back from school, find out my dad somehow didn't preorder Gears 3 and BF3. that explains why there was no email about it being dispatched. Here's to hoping it's all fixed now and thank god the Limited Edition wasn't out of stock!

I took the next two days off from work and my classes are done early starting tomorrow until thursday. This is going to be great.

Having a blast with Gears 3, So satisfying getting a Retro Lancer kill by running into someone who has just come round the corner of somewhere.

Some people on my friends list have this now, but i'll have it waiting for me tomorrow after college. I'll probably spend so long on it I'll complete the campaign in a day.

Does the game come with a 48 Hour Gold trial? If not, is there anyone out there that has a spare one or two? (I hate to be "that guy", but I hardly ever use my 360 anymore) Edit: Chrome, Team Colors, and the Gold Omen are the only skins I could see myself getting. Most of them look pretty tacky and stand out too much. Edit 2: No Skorge in multiplayer? Lame. Guess i'll have to resort to the second best choice, "Goggles". Edit 3: I'll also miss the good ol' 360 Curb stomp and the Moonwalk Curb stomp glitches.

Welp. Home from college, no Gears. Needless to say, this is the saddest day of my life.

Well Gears 3 finally preorderd, really hoping I get the commando dom code, first time ever I really wanted to preorder for a preorder only code. Will be really sad if I don't get it (Dom is my favourite character) :saddowns: just in case, I don't think anyone would have a spare commando dom code? :ohdear:

Think I'm probably going to get this instead of BF3. I like them both equally, but this comes out sooner and I'm really not a patient person.
