Gears of War Megathread V1: I'm coughing up blood that ain't even mine! - Games

I call it Gears of War 2 but considering it's in the Gears megathread I figured I didn't need to write it :v:

How come whenever I play multiplayer horde, it's only tickers? Nothing else. Played to round 9, tickers the entire time. ANd another time, it was only boomers/butchers/maulers. It was annoying as FUCK. Is there a way I can play horde like it used to be, with a variety of locust that progressively get harder?

Shit I was supposed to pre-order this earlier. Fuck it, I'll do it tomorrow morning. Dead Island keeps distracting me, I only bought the game to hold me over 'til Gears and now I've nearly beaten the damn thing :v: But I really can't wait for Tuesday. So right now Horde is in Boomer mode with a 20 times XP multiplier. It'll be back to normal soon enough.

Beast mode will be my favorite. Playing as the locust will be a feature I'll love. Heh.. being a berserker would probably tear shit up. Also, does anybody know if Beast mode will ONLY be against AI, or will it be multiplayer and you'll be able to play against human players?

Shame 2 & 3 probably aren't coming to PC because that's where epic really made it :smith:

Well, with the release so close, I'm happy to say that I have only seen the E3 hammer of dawn rush gameplay, some beta footage, and only 10 more seconds of the campaign. The game is gonna feel fresh as heck :dance: I truly barely know a scrap or two of the story!

Honestly I can't remember. I just remember trying to get special Beta only skins. Now that I think about it they may have been the fire skins.

There was the cole train skin which you could unlock for the retail game and the golden retro lancer which you needed 100 kills with to get in retail.

For the others: - You get the Golden Lancer & Hammerburst for having them in Gears 2, or for playing Gears 3 in the first week of release. - You get the Golden Gnasher Shotgun for getting the veteran gear achievement in Gears 2 (Level 100) - You get the Golden Sawed-Off for getting the commando achievement in Gears 1 (Complete campaign on insane)
