I wasn't huge on Gears 1 and 2 but this game is getting some pretty great reviews. Should I get it? How long would Horde/Beast mode last?

Saddest moment in gears, ever. Fucking ruined my night and will ruin my week completely. Whenever I play the rest of the campaign, I will think about it and be sad. Never thought it would happen like that, and in such a sad way. Not spoiling anything. Though, you can probably guess what happens from the genius up there who messed up the spoiler tags.

I think we should drop such a silly topic and move on. So, what are your favorite weapons in gears so far? Mine is the Retro Lancer, as I predicted. I can control the recoil fairly well, and the sick-ass charge gives me such satisfaction. I've only tried it in campaign though, yet to do horde or multiplayer. Currently on act IV on campaign. I believe it's the last act, or second to last? Not sure.

Big spoiler up ahead, only a question to those who have gotten up to act 4! [sp] So, I noticed C carmine hasn't been with us during the gas station raid where you first encounter lambent humans. Or anything after that. Even after dom dies, he's not fighting or seen. I also remember Dom watching a gear that looked like Carmine getting his arm torn off by a lambent, but I thought to myself, "Carmine is supposed to live so that's not him".. so, was I wrong? Did carmine die even though he wasn't supposed to? Or can somebody explain what happened..[/sp]
