It wouldn't be so bad if there was ANY exposition beyond what your next objective is. Every time someone is about to explain shit either [sp]they die, like Prescott,[/sp] or they get attacked. And then there's [sp]Adam Pheonix giving Baird that data disk which just screams "HEY PLAYER. Watch after the credits for an explination for all this shit!"[/sp] Fuck Karen Traviss. Her EU books were shit and she fucked the story of Gears 3.

A lot of the dialogue made me cringe. The constant jokes about how Carmine 'almost' dies stopped being funny after the first time, and don't even get me started on all the grocery shopping jokes when they were in the store. I mean seriously, it's like Karen Traviss looked at the situation the characters were in and just had them spout joke after joke about it.

I can't find ANY beast mode matches. I haven't tried any other multiplayer mode yet, but I imagine I wouldn't be able to find any matches there either. Don't get me started on the fucking filters in chapter one. It was a good game, don't get me wrong but the writing was absolutely abysmal, the pacing seemed to be everywhere and the fact they never finished off several parts to the last games really angers me. It started off good, you're introduced to the current situation then you end up in shit creek for no apparent reason. After the first mission though, it seemed to smooth out, everything was nicely paced and easy to play. But as soon as you get into the docks it became the same shit, different scenario - the story fell apart and the pacing went to shit. Highlight of the game? [sp]Lambent humans and the creepy H.O.D. test site, fuck that was some cool stuff.[/sp]

[sp] I felt near nothing when Adam Fenix died, but I feel like shit still after DOm died. Dom was there since the beginning. You learned to love him. He was there till the end of gears 3. And then he just dies? I mean, there are at least 3 other solutions I saw there that would've saved dom's life. 1. Taking the truck and telling delta squad to jump on it, escape with them.. 2. Tell delta squad to jump off, run away yourself, shoot gas tank, kaboom. Everybody hopefully lives. and 3. Take the truck, drive away, turna round, ram through the enemies. I mean really, his death could've been prevented...[/sp] Now to get my last exectution for the achievement, with the One-shot.. then Horde Mode, then beast.

Beast Mode is my favorite mode so far. Being a Ticker is just awesome. But the one Beach looking map who's name escapes me at the moment is too big for two players(or even 3, maybe). I spawned as a Butcher on one side of the map, while the humans were all the way on the other, and I sprint as fast as a COG can basic run.

Got up to round twenty in horde mode in literally 45 minutes. It was on normal, too, and mostly everybody was roaming around and we died a lot. The Brumak is the easiest boss imo. 1 turret takes it down in like 15 seconds of firing, and the brumak doesn't fight back. Gunker is still very hard. And they spawn like 5 of them. Gonna play some beast mode for the sixty-round achievement, then play some multiplayer.
