Gears of War Megathread V1: I'm coughing up blood that ain't even mine! - Games

I would, but my mic is fucked. Also, It takes me 15 minutes to find a single horde game, WTF?

Finished the story, was very fun but disappointing in that they didn't answer practically anything.

We need to get a group of people to do insane beast mode, seeing as standard only plays on normal. Also, I think that the wild ticker's kill for the achievement to get a kill as all the classes, should be counted if you destroy a fortification with it (seeing as that's all it can really do). I've only ever seen it kill someone that had already been downed, and trapped in an ink cloud.

If you get lucky you can do it, otherwise get a friend to play as a wretch or drone or something, down an enemy near you and let you take the kill. I finally got sentry guns just to find out that they don't do shit. One of them literally shot a ticker until the sentry gun ran out of ammo and the ticker was still fucking alive. This was on a casual too.

How's the multiplayer going on this? Gonna replay through GoW1, then buy GoW2 and 3. Need some multiplayer to play until BF3, apart from WoW.

I really hope they make a story DLC that actually answers some of the lingering questions. Something tells me I'm being to too hopeful though. [sp]And if they do they better involve C. Carmine more than they did![/sp]

More to the point, can you actually connect to games reliably and quickly? I tended to be sat around waiting for Gears 2 to connect me to matches.
