I love the DBS and I get kills with it, people are really stupid and they literally fall into my hands.
I don't really care if people think I'm and ass for using the DBS, its just too much fun for me to pass up.
I found out I am really, really shit with the Hammerburst.
What is the DBS?
The sawed off, I accidentally call it the double barrel a lot. My bad.
Holy shit, you can attach a grenade to your meatshield and throw them at the enemy!

[editline]25th September 2011[/editline] Also, what level you guys at? Just breached 40 myself.

How did I get into that room and NOT notice the giant chicken?
Sudden Death on Wingman makes my nipples hard for some reason.
So easy to get kills using the Retro Lancer because nearly everybody just plays with a shotgun. Shoot them, they slow down, can't get to you and two piece or hip-fire you, you win.

I never knew you could tap the trigger to shoot faster with the Hammerburst. I always assumed you could only hold it down. I haven't used the Lancer or Retro Lancer since, because of how lethal it can be at medium to long range and that's my preferable play style.
I never played the multiplayer in Gears 1 or 2, is there anything that makes this games MP stand out? People seem to be raving on that it's much better.

You can't really compare Gears' multiplayer to anything else..
I didn't expect to get so much backlash at my SOS comment. First off, I don't consider myself a bad player. I do keep a distance and give support fire for my teammates while they move in, but there are times when someone will be camping behind a random wall waiting for someone to run past them, then blast them as they run past. The distance isn't much of a problem, it's the spread of the gun. They don't even have to be aiming at you in order to gib you in one shot. There are also a few maps were there really isn't all much space to give yourself some distance apart. (such as checkout) Just because I hate a weapon, doesn't make me bad at a game. It's also surprising to state that you haven't run into very many SOS users, when there has literally been at least one in every game i've played (level 31).

About 4 out of 5 of them usually have SOS. What I said was they don't kill me, ever. Unless I'm playing KOTH and I'm in the circle.

Do you actually get into the fights, or do you just stay back and take pot-shots at the opposing team? Because if you actually do get into where everyone is fighting, you'll realize very quickly how cheap the sawed off is.

If not possible, I let them come to me. There's a sweetspot when they round the corner.
I actually chainsaw sawed off users a lot. If you rush them with a chainsaw they usually panic and fire too early, and then are fucked as soon as you get into melee range a second later. Hell, I chainsaw everyone. I have like twenty lumberjacks from multiplayer. It's really satisfying to get a good chainsaw kill on someone who's trying to shoot you before you get to them. Pretty much the only thing that stops me every time is the retro lancer. It can down me before I get into melee range.
Got my wings in Gears 2 last night. Better late than never I guess.
Chainsawers are the bane of my existence
Oh man, a laggy chainsawer is the most annoying thing ever.
Oh man, a laggy chainsawer is the most annoying thing ever.
Lag is now a non-existent problem :D
I did not know Fenix was voiced by the guy who voiced Bender from Futurama.
Chainsawers are the bane of my existence
I love it. My friends always make jokes about how much I chainsaw. I probably have more chainsaw kills than I do legitimate Lancer kills.
I like it when they run away and your chasing them like some kind of muscled serial killer.
