Gears of War Megathread V1: I'm coughing up blood that ain't even mine! - Games

I actually got hatemail for doing really well on Sandbar. I grabbed the Hammer of Dawn, and for some reason they kept running out into the open. I got like eight kills with it. Then I picked up the boomshot and got three kills with that, and every time they tried to rush me I just shot them to death with the Lancer. They said I had no skill and was garbage, after topping the scoreboard.

He was trying to tell me how he could take me in One on One, and how I whore power weapons.

IMO, the Hammerburst is weaker than the regular lancer. I seem to hit every shot with both weapons but down faster with the lancer. Don't know why..

If you fire it normally then the Lancer is going to have a higher DPS (Damage Per Second), otherwise the Hammerburst should have a higher DPS if you fire it tapping the right trigger it to fire it faster than normal.

Okay, you guys were right. Maybe constantly using the Hammerburst isn't always smart. Finally decided to use the Lancer on Trenches and went 27-0.

Even if you catch a guy at long range with it, he can probably get into cover before you down him. It just kills too slowly to be very effective. It doesn't have the power of the Retro Lancer or the chainsaw bayonet, so you can rush a Hammerburst user without much fear.

God damn it, i get to the first boss wave on Horde Mode, for the first time i go up against a Brumak, killed that using the One Shot and another instantly spawned where it died, the rocket on it are the only annoying thing since they can get you behind cover because they're dumb rockets so they just go anywhere. Completed 3/5 of the campaign on INSANE Co-op, but then the [sp]Lambent Zerker[/sp] happened at we hit an impasse and decided to continue Thursday.

So i've failed three times on the Brumak Boss fight, then i got two Berserkers and just got a Lamber Zerker, yeah this is getting annoying now.

I was playing Wingman with a close friend of mine, and we noticed everyone was using the sawn off shotgun, including the best team. So, we started using it. We won three games in a row within three rounds. Classic gaming justice.
