Oh well i can't really help at all then, i was just going to say try wired.
I have finally completed Arcade, Campaign and Beast on Insane. Now all I need is Horde.
For a someone who thinks it's easy to kill a Lambent Zerker that shouldn't be a problem for you.
Sooo, anyone up for beast?
doing public takes ages to find matches.
May be your NAT type.

Except fighting enemies that can kill you in 3 bullets in waves 30+ is completely different than fighting ONE enemy that's entirely melee based (I.E. Lambent Zerker)
Just because I said 1 "hard" enemy is easy doesn't make fighting multiple enemies easier (especially grinders)

No he's right. I have an open NAT and it takes me forever to find a match of horde/beast
The Silverback gets wrecked on waves 31-40 of Horde. Half a mag from a Hammerburst will take you out.
I'm level 39. I like the descriptions it has for each character in multiplayer, it's really insightful. Like, the Spotter character for the Locust, I assumed he spotted people for like turret gunners or snipers or something, but instead Queen Myrrah can actually see through his eyes, making him the eyes of the Locust Queen. I also like what it has to say about Benjamen Carmine. Instead of painting him as an idiot, they say he's a fearless soldier who just wants to do good, and can be a little reckless about it sometimes.

Yeah, the Silverback is crazy fragile. Never buy it during a Boss Wave, either. Whatever the boss is will instantly target it and kill it really quickly. It was getting to the point at wave 31 that the Silverback would kill the first half of the wave, and then it would die and we'd kill the rest ourselves, and pile all our cash into repairing it, and repeating.
Out of the Carmines i like Benjamin the most, then Clayton then Anthony, Anthony the least doesn't make me not like him, it's just because you spent the least amount of time with him.

I added you just in case :v:

Oh so you're Trexmaster. I got on today and was like "who the fuck is this?"
I hate Silverbacks and this is coming from a guy who uses it a lot. I just don't like quickly stealing other people's kills then using a portion or all of my money on repairing the damn mech.
Everything costs too much money IMO. I get to round 30 and I've only barely managed to put up 3 laser fences. And I'm no slacker when it comes to killing locust.
Have players dedicated to a certain building.
We did. It was Drydock in the more closed in upper area. I set up 3 fences, one guy built turrets, another built decoys. The last 2 repaired everything. I still had fuck all money.
Maybe there just need to be more locust per round.

As you rank up the fortification levels, they start to become cheaper to repair.
The easiest way to get Hail Mary ribbons is to play Boomer on Hotel.
Chances are if you shoot, you'll kill someone if you aimed in their direction.
I'm Level 7 on Barricades and still costs a good amount to repair Red Laser Fences, not saying i'm not surprised, i'm just saying on Level 7 it still costs a lot to repair them.

It still costs quite a bit to build everything anyways. What was the discount they give you at level 7? Like, 3%?
8% After Level 5 i think, i can't remember to be honest.
I was going to say this earlier, but that quad-kill video kind of proves that the SoS shot is insta death in a width of 3-4 players, and about 2 players away.
People say it's fine because you have to be that close to begin with, but guys with the SoS have ways of getting close enough, you know, with chest-high walls being every ten feet.
Only hard counter is a giant open space they're dumb enough to run through, or another SoS user (A gnasher won't win unless they miss.).
Here's a few fixes I propose for the sawed-off.
1) One shot only. This is one guaranteed kill. This keeps it as a newbie weapon, but lowers the amount of encounters with it. The low ammo count also helps with persuading players to try the Gnasher.
2) Adjust the kill range with a "check". Essentially, if you get a kill or down within regular Gnasher range (spread), the game would then spread the shot to current SOS radius. This way, multikill potential stays, but the weapon becomes more skill-based and situation, like the rest of the weapons.
3) This is no longer possible, but making it an on-map weapon would have been a great fix, as well.
It's original purpose was to be an anti-Gnasher, but the Retro Lancer already does that, which is why the SOS is as annoying as it is.
The Sawed-Off is just a cheap shit gun to use.

Y'all can't counter it is all.
Oh i can, i've used the Retro Lancer and even the Gnasher to counter it, also hitting them once and shooting but not many times on that, doesn't always work well.
Y'all can't counter it is all.
It's hard to counter, considering wall bouncing and cover hopping is just a matter of mashing the A button. It's incredibly easy to get into range and kill someone with it.
[editline]29th September 2011[/editline]
Retro Lancer is good if you catch them before they're in range, but that doesn't always happen.
I got one opinion from a friend about the game, was positive, but would like more opinions, i've only played Gears 2 for reference and the campaign was kinda fun with my buddy. I'm not going to be playing too much multiplayer but the beast and horde modes seem pretty darn interesting.
So what are your guys' verdicts on this?

Multiplayer's great, Horde mode's fantastic, beast modes cool too, but it gets boring. campaigns good too in terms of gameplay, story's a bit weak compared to Gears 2.
Definitely a good game! I'd recommend it.

If you're only going to be playing Campaign, I wouldn't recommend it. Get something with a better story and more re-playability. If you're going to be playing Multiplayer, go for it.
The game is designed around co-op and multiplayer. I wouldn't recommend it if you're only going to play campaign.
I mean i will play it (multiplayer) but i don't have any friends that own it so i won't be on it too often, maybe once a week, and i've got both MW3 and BF3 that i'd likely play more once they come out. So go ahead and rent it then?

Who'd have thought?
Queen Myrrah [sp]is not Marcus mom, just give a read here http://gearsofwar.wikia.com/wiki/Elaine_Fenix[/sp] I guess that takes away some twisting hopes :(
[sp]A Gears 2 collectible talks of one subject who was a success, a perfect human-Locust hybrid who is immune to Imulsion sickness. Her name was Ruth and I believe she was just a child at the time. Probably angry at the brutality of the tests done by humans (her own people) she took to leading the Locusts and became Queen Myrrah.
She's a descendant of the scientists who first studied imulsion-infected miners at the outpost in G2[/sp]

Conclusion is if you read all of this questions will be answered and some theorys/speculatios will be made.

I think everything is great in Gears 3, i don't think Beast Mode gets boring at all so it's just a matter of opinion really.
What is wallbouncing?
