Maybe he had zero questions.
Well, finally beat the campaign today with my father. My verdict? Not too shabby. While I still think the campaign in Gears 2 was by far the pinnacle of the series, Gears 3 was suitably epic and provided a fitting end to the series that answered (almost) all of my questions.
Now to move onto the multiplayer when I get Xbox Live back.
Really? Because I though the ending was complete crap.
Maybe he had zero questions.
The only truly unanswered question I have is [sp]why does Myrrah look so damn human?[/sp] Other than that, everything else made sense.
Then again, it's been a very long time since I last played Gears 1 or 2 in their entirety so it's entirely possible I'm making an ass of myself here.

I'm more talking about the game as a whole, rather than the ending of the game specifically.
The ending didn't really answer anything. It wrapped up the series, sure, but almost every single mystery and question in the series went unanswered.

I mean fuck they specifically mentioned that Myrrah looks human in the third game, and still don't touch on it at all.

You sure about that?
Origins of Locust: Resolved.
Immulsion's threat: Resolved
E-Day mystery: Resolved
Reason for Locust/human war: Resolved
Lambent: Resolved
Stranded's hatred of COG: Resolved
Humanity's future: Resolved
Beyond Myrrah looking human (which continues to perplex me), what am I missing?

How were the Locust Origins explained at all?
The Lambent Threat was a plot point brought up in Gears 3. If a game answers it's own problem I don't think that counts as an answer.
What mystery was there about E-Day?
I'll give you the reason for the Locust/Human war, but it was a really shitty explaination.
Lambent and Immulsion threat are the same thing, and both of them only became problems in Gears 3 anyways, so that's not really much of a mystery or a question of the series.
Stranded's Hatred of COG resolved? How do you figure?
It wasn't clear Humanity was going to have a future. They could have all easily died. Besides, that was a question they HAD to answer because it was the last game. That's like saying "MAN THEY SURE ANSWERED THE QUESTION OF 'WHAT WILL DRONES LOOK LIKE IN GEARS 3'. That wasn't really a huge mystery people had, for the most part. Either humanity would win and live, or humanity would lose and die. There you go.
I wish they would have said why Adam didn't clue in the Government that there was a race of seriously pissed off armored dinosaurs about to kill 99% of Humanity. I mean, he knew for two years before E-Day. At no point did he mention to the Chairman "Hey, you may wanna get the COG Geologists to put in some over time." or even say something like "So uh, this is totally random and all, but you should send a couple hundred thousand troops underground. Alright, I'm off to Pseudo-Earth Starbucks!"

None of those questions were answered at all. The only question answered was why Queen Myrrah looks human and that wasn't even answered in the game. The reason why she looks human is because [sp]she was an experiment when she was a child, she's a human/locust hybrid, eventually she escaped and had a clear hatred of humanity for the experiments she had to deal with[/sp]
I don't remember where that was stated, someone in this thread had the link.

Uh, what?
No.
Look at the wiki. Nowhere is that even implied. That's just a popular theory.
and what a preposterous theory indeed.

Maybe the entire game he was thinking if Marcus has a proper hairstyle or just those two little groups of hair sticking out :v:

Well that was the most important mystery in the game, I have forever been wondering what he had under that bandanna.
It was like the fluffiest half afro i've ever seen
oh god I just managed to beat a lambent zerker wave in a private match by myself.
Well done, it's quite difficult on your own.
I'm excited to see what the Halloween event will be. They've been taking suggestions on their forums.

Actually the hatred for the COG comes from the HoD testing grounds and their general lack of care for civilians, so one was kind of solved.

But we already knew that. It was stated in the very first game why the stranded hated the COG. By the end of Gears 3 the Stranded still hated the COG, so, no, nothing was really resolved about that at all.
It's stated in the first cutscene of gears 2 what they did with the HoD strikes.

I'm pretty sure in the backstory of the first game they mentioned it too.
Well, it's clear I've made an ass of myself above folks, sorry about that :v:
I'm gonna go play Gears 1 and 2 again so I'll (hopefully) know more of what I'm talking about.

You didn't make an ass out of yourself, we're just not sure how you could think what you think. Like, it's kind of a fact that Gears 3 answered jack shit.
Finally finished 50 waves of horde, only me and a friend were talking, the other 3 were pissing about with the silverback and wasting money.
We only died 3 times so it's all good.
The Sliverback is a waste of money. Even if you start saving right off the bat you won't have it until later on, and it dies so fast it's not even worth the price. In the time you spend buying a Silverback and repairing it and such, you could have built a shitload of barriers/decoys/turrets/sentries for your team.
The silverback could use a hell of a lot more armour, it's far too weak.

Supposedly in the DLC it's going to get an armor upgrade and an upgrade to give it rockets, so hopefully it'll be a little more useful.
Is this the same DLC with the maps that can't be used in online play (which pissed me off)?
Turrets > Silverback
Level 3 turrets are retro lancer turrets but the retro lancers are regular lancers.
I cannot wait for level 5.

Troika? Yeah. The normal Lancer turret tears it up. The turrets are really useful.
Sentries are really useful if you can manage to level them up enough. The final level of Turret, the Electricity Turret, is really really good. The next level coming out with the DLC, the Fire Turret, will probably be even more useful since it does bonus damage to Armored Kantuses and Berserkers.
I hate armoured kantus' there doesn't seem to be any definable weak point since grenades are kind of sparse, when you're running low on ammo and trying to kill it, nothing seems to work.
And berserkers just tear shit up.
