Gears of War Megathread V1: I'm coughing up blood that ain't even mine! - Games

Update: Was just playing around in the menus, xbox froze and now disk drive has packed in completely, nothing works! Only upgraded to the slim a month ago. Just my luck! My Xbox RRODed the day Halo 3 came out too :(

I don't understand critic's reasoning for saying bad things about games.They ALWAYS rate games too harshly, which is why I never read game reviews, rather I watch some gameplay of the game to decide if it's fun. From what I've seen, Gears looks like it'll be GOTY. I think I'll let myself decide if it's forgettable, especially now that its 4 player coop. Campaign>Beast Mode>Horde>Multiplayer. Playing in that order. I always jump into campaign first.

Whyy do I keep getting paired up against american hosts on Gears 2?! I want to play some Warzone/Wingman in peace to get the last 10 levels for my wings but I'm always the only lagging European :suicide: Sometimes I wish the latest TU din't happen, ever since that update getting host has become impossible for me, previously I would always get it and nobody would complain..

Especially since the games 3 days away. :l I get the feeling my controller will break, because the left grip is kinda half on, half off, and if it snaps off I'm screwed. Man, reaching level 100 took way too long. Nice to be getting all the gears 3 gold weapon skins, though.

6250 exp every ~2minutes when doing this solo. Not bad.

I'm not saying it's bad but with games like BF3, Skyrim and AC: Revelations just around the corner I highly doubt gears 3 will win GOTY.

Good news is I got it exchanged for a shiny new one (well less shiny since its matt black rather than the gloss now) and played through the first 2 chapters. I'm impressed. It plays just like a cinematic experience, would be great with some coop too.

If you insert the disk [b]before[/b] the TU then your GT will be modified early and you will only have the golden gnasher, no golden DBS, Lancer, Plancer, Hammerburst

Buying skins is for douchebags, and subtracts from the fun of unlocking them yourself. You do get the golden double shotty for finishing campaign on Insane, mind. The only cheevos I have left is seriously 2.0 and the Co-Op campaign. Anyone up for polishing it off on Casual?

Whats the xp multiplier on the gears 2 multiplayer at the moment?

I have seen the unlock screen, so I know this as fact.
