wouldn't work with the current implementation of the planet model
yeah the shadow isn't real. It's a separate sphere thats black and has an alpha mask so it really is pitch black on the other side. Got rid of the old planet because it was pluto and had nothing to do with the story.
Nobody gives Pluto any respect.
wouldn't work with the current implementation of the planet model
Make a slightly bigger sphere, make the texture completely black, add a few mid-tone yellowish dots in clusters relative to the approximate position of cities on the planet, make the texture an additive render mode and UnlitGeneric. Place that in the scene and the lights should be overpowered by the main planet texture on the bright side and lit up on the dark side. [editline]11:55AM[/editline] Could also do similar for the clouds and make them a separate layer that spins at a different rate to the planet. [editline]11:57AM[/editline] Actually, ignore that. Didn't see the post explaining how your planet is done anyway.

Okay this game looks awesome, but could someone tell me how I could download it?
Okay this game looks awesome, but could someone tell me how I could download it?
You have to use TortoiseSVN. I think there are instructions on the first page.
I don't know alot about guns, but aren't there empty shells that needs to be pushed out first? [editline]09:13PM[/editline] Either way, your animations are great!
Some guns today have casings that burn and come out as ash when the weapon is fired. This seems a little useless as casings aren't much of a worry but whatever, they did it anyway. This also requires the gun to be cleaned more frequently. [editline]11:45PM[/editline] Wayy late.
You have to use TortoiseSVN. I think there are instructions on the first page.
Yeah I got the program downloaded and made a folder for the game but now I have no idea what to do with this. http://svn.jimbomcb.co.uk/Galactopticon_Mod/
right-click the folder, go to svn checkout and paste the URL in the top thing where it says repository url or something
right click, svn checkout [editline]10:06AM[/editline] ahh you beat meh
Okay I did the checkout, but now how do I start the game? (Sorry if this seems like a stupid question)
Put it in SteamApps/SourceMods. Restart Steam. Look for it in your games list.
Also, if you now right click on the galactopticon folder and hit update, it downloads new updates.

I hate the mooks with the scorpions. I hate them oh so much.
I hate the mooks with the scorpions. I hate them oh so much.
Hint: headshots do 5 times more damage than bodyshots.
hint: buddy
hint: buddy
Hint: watch it
Hint: this is a clue

It's nice but it needs some work. It needs to be a bit more fluent and when he puts the bullets into the chamber whatsit, I think he should use his thumb, not his palm. Don't you guys actually need a weapon animator? Or at least someone to make some temporary weapon animations? [editline]04:01PM[/editline] By the way, fucking love that model. The view in game doesn't do it justice.
Hint: this is a clue
Hint: That's actually a hint, not a clue.
today i make reload
Why does it turn after th gun is back in idle position. It should already staret turning as soon as the trigger is pulled.
Why does it turn after th gun is back in idle position. It should already staret turning as soon as the trigger is pulled.
its the future alright
I just found 2 more bugs. The end of the reloading animation for the Hammerhead has a random vert come out of the model and then go back again, and the security cameras still talk even if you blow them up.
So, I just begun skinning the wasp, why? Because I was bored.. :frown:
its the future alright
Guns will be designed worse in the future?
The drum should move a bit slower, there's 8 bullets there after all..
Why does it turn after th gun is back in idle position. It should already staret turning as soon as the trigger is pulled.
Maybe because it is a WIP?
