Just let the team choose what color someone's blood is.
no one ever asked them to change it
If anyone cared about the blood so much they could change the hue and replace the vtf's themselves.
make it the color of marmalade. that way it's slightly alien but not quite so right out of every fps made in the last 5 years ever

Would be a nice distraction.
Little do you know the Argemitis Galacticus is a jar of space honey.

all blood is blue, but it turns to red on contact with the air.
all blood is blue, but it turns to red on contact with the air.
Then why is the blood red when someone gets cut/decapitated in space?
Blue blood is a myth. :science:

what
[editline]05:51PM[/editline]
and yes, blood is blue when not oxygenated

Blue Blood is an urban Myth.

How do you know that...?
:ohdear:
Discovery Channel :science:
People get decapitated in space on the discovery channel? I should watch that more

Thanks, but I'm still wondering when anybody/anything has been decapitated in a total vacuum
People get decapitated in space on the discovery channel? I should watch that more
Mythbusters? They do shit for science and giggles.

Poopy Joe, although not decapitated. :frown:
Isn't it the hemoglobin that gives blood its red color? If so, doesn't the process of respiration only remove oxygen from the blood, not hemoglobin?
Ah yes, so it is:
Hemoglobin is the principal determinant of the color of blood in vertebrates...Deoxygenated blood is a darker shade of red...In vertebrates and other hemoglobin-using creatures, arterial blood and capillary blood are bright red, as oxygen imparts a strong red color to the heme group
So it is very likely that Solomon's blood is red. Unless he doesn't breathe oxygen that is. Good, less work for the Mod team.
Good, less work for the Mod team.
Who said they would be remaking the blood? It's unnecessary. Red is fine as it is, unless there's going to be some antlion-like creature.
apparently i was wrong.

It's okay man. I used to think that too.
too bad Source doesn't have liquid physics or John should have bled blood that behaves like jelly
deoxyhaemoglobin: dark bluish
oxyhaemoglobin: bright red
it turns red when it binds to an oxygen molecule due to the bound oxygen affecting its' reactions with light (similar principles to spectroscopy)

That's how aliens snipe. They just reach out over hundreds of yards and shoot you point blank.
