I heard then you could play it infinitely as long as you logged into Classic once, so I'd imagine Classic has loads more people playing now.
I have a classic enabled account, I think you can play F2P too if you have them enabled. A guy got 99 fming a couple weeks ago in Classic and I attended, it's remarkebly more 3D than I thought. The monsters also feel more "adult" than Runescape2.
But to answer your imagination, no there's only 20 people on at a time usually.
I bet you could SCAR bot on classic and get away with it :smug: just sayin.

Yes, it did that for all of use. It switched to "No reply from login server" for me just a second ago.
