No, it looks like powerbot and a rival botting site (were friendlies untill three days ago), arbibot are both getting DDoS'd, and this started right after Arbiter the creator of the arbi bots, update all the paid scripts with a trojan and left powerbot. It's stupid to think jagex would do this, as it is highly illegal and easy to backtrack.

That's what the GE is for and basically every other player in the game.
If you've at all been paying attention to the game, the GE is shit, and most players try to scam you. It's just an attempt to start a safe trading circle. There is a lot of companies in RS and they have there own sub-forum on the forums.

You can still do that. I'm just getting fed up with trying to sell an item and people try to scam me by replacing 400k with 40k at the last second. I report them and all but I just want to sell an item without opening trade 500 times before I find a legit buyer.

I have found an easy way to not get scammed.
When you trade someone you can look on the right side and it will show you what the other player is offering.

I remember once, when there where about seven of us, we actually managed to take one down, and promptly stole his armour and held it ransom for "three k an a hundred burnt shrimp."
The sight of a level 23 guy in full plate armour desperately trying to burn shrimp on a small fire will stay with me FOREVER...
