also if you're a noob then don't browse the Wiki too much, the funnest time in RS you will have when you don't know shit about the game. [editline]05:29PM[/editline] and men are like lvl 2 so you can easily kill them
I made 50k in 2 minutes at the new Chaos druids yesterday, are their drop rates increased?
If you botters didn't exist we would get all those items by ourselves.
No you wouldn't. Prices for items like Ess or Yews would skyrocket because the botters provide the raw materials so you can grind a specific skill. I highly doubt a fletcher is going to go spend time leveling woodcutting to fletch Yew(u)'s or work on getting crafting up to make bow strings when they're easily purchasable on the GE at a reasonable price. The current amount of botters balances out the economy perfectly. In a way you have to compare it to real life, if there weren't thousands of willing workers to manufacture our goods we wouldn't go out and make them, in fact the little amount of good being produced would be expensive as hell throwing off our economy's equilibrium. In Runescape the botters balance out the equilibrium and do the work YOU do not like having to do.

Not every person that makes or gets items is botting, get off your high horse stop thinking you're the backbone of runescape and the grand exchange.

Not every person that makes or gets items is botting, get off your high horse stop thinking you're the backbone of runescape and the grand exchange.
The botters are the workers whether you want to believe that or not. And yes they are what keeps the economy in check. It keeps the flow of the gold and materials going. Sure there are non-botting people out there, but the amount of bots outnumbers them quite a lot. Especially when you start looking at those in the F2P worlds.
Botters aren't workers, no botter plays runescape as if it is a job - they do it for fun, and they are not what keeps the economy in check. They're players that like to cheat instead of doing it themselves. Those who get and make materials themselves probably outnumber the botters.
The botters sell the materials to botters so they can bot more materials to sell to more botters If botting was eliminated, it would barely make a difference on the economy.

They bot a skill to earn money and provide the market with raw materials. And the amount of botters that are just on F2P servers greatly outnumber the amount of people doing it legitimately simply because it's easy to create many alts and have them all running at once. In fact a lot of botters are humans that just don't feel like clicking but are present at their computers babysitting.
Anyway; I used to make videos for this game which I now realize were pretty shitty. I have Sony Vegas and everything and know what I did wrong, so I'm going to probably give it another go. You guys have any ideas for videos? I was thinking about guides with commentary, but I really don't know if anyone would find it useful.

I've noticed this thread is still empty and you all seem to be disusing botting still. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=973168

They're not acting like it's some kind of duty being a ''protector'' of the Runescape economy. Maybe you do it so that you ''help'' the Runescape economy, but you do not count as every botter in Runescape.
ITT: People need to learn what the fuck the Free Market is all about.
Those who get and make materials themselves probably outnumber the botters.
and you're horribly wrong
200k till 92 RC :neckbeard: Oh, and I'm not botting it either.(I don't have a life whatsoever.)

No, they do it for their own good, same way with the botters in runescape.
If there were no botters, prices of raw materials would increase, thus give people a reason to actually collect materials. [editline]08:45PM[/editline] Bot Discussion thread. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=973168
The supply of the materials would still be waaaay shorter than it was.
Yes, but more people would actually work because they effectively get paid more.
I though I would try this game again, So I tried buying membership with that SMS option...Whenever I try to do it, it sends me the text asking if I would like to proceed, I send back "Y" and nothing happens, I waited 2 hours and gave up, so I sent "STOP" and all of a sudden I get a text saying that $5 out of $10 has been charged to my phone bill, But when I go back to the website it says transaction canceled. So I'm out $5 and didn't get anything.. Why did they switch? I liked the service where you would text them and they sent you 3 messages and the last one contained your membership pin. Paymo sucks ass
Lol. 90% of the people posting in this thread are botters, also why make a new thread for them?? Doesnt really make sense.
I used to hate this game with a passion. With a passion. I used to claim that it had stolen my best friend's life, she had 99 fishing, was ranked I believe #7 out of a hundred at the time in fishing, I've searched RS for her stats but I believe she deleted her account, if not I'll link you guys some time. I mean damn the girl was E-Famous and lived right up the street from me. But... I got really bored earlier this week. Because of being an insomniac and having constant migraines I found my self constantly sitting in my bedroom on my laptop with nothing to do. My laptop is a piece of shit and can't run anything well, so I figured I would just hop on Runescape. I made a new account, and got on. Now fast forward 2-3 days and I'm addicted. Which is a good thing I guess, I've recently canceled my WoW subscription because of REALID and I feel that, even though Jagex's stupid trading rules are complete and total bullshit, that I should stop playing the game like I did when I was in 5th grade and grow up and learn to use the exchange and whatnot to my advantage. So yeah, I'm here now. I never thought I'd find an actual RS thread on FP that didn't have a bunch of flaming and shit. I also hope you guys don't mind if I just join Guild Chat and lurk for a few days to see whats good. Also thank you guys for the link to http://www.stellardawn.com/ I've signed up for the Beta as well.
Don't worry, I doubt it will destroy your life. Runescape stops being addicting after a few months.

iBot.
So they don't talk about botting here. :colbert:
Can you just please get a mod in here?
Just hit 80 Strength, now I shall work from 75 Def to 80 Def.
Runescape thread is made. Bot discussion is welcomed. Runescape thread enjoys many pages of Runescape-related discussion. One whiner brings up that they don't like botting and thinks botting should not be discussed in this thread. Whiners attempt to take over thread. The rest of the thread is now about whether talking about botting is ok or not. This thread was better when there weren't these "anti-bot" whiners.:colbert: [editline]08:44PM[/editline] How about we simply welcome all runescape-related talk and stfu about our personal opinions on "botting"?
A guide on how to make your first Mill on F2P would be pretty nice.
Thats a pretty decent idea. I'll do that after I get 99 RC.
