i don't see why everyone hates botters so much i don't enjoy clicking on a tree for an hour straight bro, it's just not appealing to me. sure, i play runescape legit from time to time but i still like to chill on bc2 and mw2, so i bot when i'm on there. there is NO reason why we are hurting you in ANY way possible. the only way we're "hurting" you in anyway is by the idiots who keep crashing fish prices, it's really annoying for both both botters and legit players.

I don't like botters but I really don't bother reporting them or anything.

I've been playing 16 hours a day basically since like 80 RC. Probably got another 2 weeks to go till 99.

Been nolifing cooking the past few days, gotten from 56 to 95 :) Im about 800K until 96. Going for 99, then ill work on my CB Skills(All to 80.)

I've got 78 Constitution, 75 Attack, 80 Strength, 75 Defense, and 70 Ranged.

I know this isn't a botting thread/topic (anymore). Thank you cortzxxx for making one separate for us "bot users". But I am not here to discuss how to install a bot or ask questions on what bot is better or even just talk smack to people that are against bots. I'm here to discuss how *Bots* have affected RuneScape, I believe we can have a good discussion without any name calling or trolling or anything like that. So how did bots affect the game? Well they affected the game A LOT! Some in a good way.. Some in a very HORRIBLE way. I remember playing this game 4 years ago. The game was amazing I enjoyed it a lot :D Didn't care one bit what anyone said about it or about me. During that time you had to get everything your self, if buying Rune Essence from a player it could be 50gp to 100gp per Rune Ess; Pricing was all over the place. There was NO Grand Exchange at that time. So making money was well easy for some if you knew how to get around the game, and hard for others. At that time I would be pissing myself with liquid fire if I made close to 75k gp. Remember when you could bargain with players in the game? Law runes used to be 500gp all the way to 1000gp and you would bargain with another player to drop the price because money was tight, Remember that? Changes started to happen when I quit RuneScape, sure I quit it almost after the new Skill came out (Hunter). But I was just getting bored; I would have to grind for Pure Essence (members) then sell it to people.. But I could never do more then 4 runs... I would just get so bored that I had to do something else. Thus I quit. So when am I gonna tell you how bots changed the game? Well for one thing the G.E. was implemented and a new trading system was put in. Now you are gonna say: Bullshit!! Jagex told us that it was because of all the gp sellers/buyers. Now do you really think the sellers actually grinned 10million gp just to sell it for 30$ (or what ever)? No the probably used a BOT. So while the G.E. was getting comfortable Jagex took away the wildy PvP; and now upon death BOOM the winner doesn't get a prize :'( the loot from the fallen player. Now you are gonna tell me: Bullshit!! Jagex made separate pvp worlds. Did they now? Did they really? But tell me wasn't it much more fun running around in a spooky place (well not really spooky) always watching your back from NPC monsters and actual players? Now I will try to explain what NotMeh has been trying to say to all of you: "" With the implantation of the G.E. so came along the Merchanting clans. If there were no botters- Merchanting clans would be dominating ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in the G.E. (well not everything-). Here let me give you an example: Lets say you need Rune/Pure Essence to level up your Rune Crafting. So you go to the G.E. to buy some, you only need 10k Essence to level up to 99. "YAY!". What you didn't realize though was while you were leveling from 97 to 98+. Jagex whipped all the damn botters off the radar *boom* all of them got perma banned.. You know what lets make it more interesting: They all got IP Banned! So you know that Essence goes for 67gp to 139gp (Rune/Pure) so you get what ever the amount of money you need, and purchase it at the maximum price. Day goes by you are at 4% of the total amount needed AND the prices have gone up. This happens for another 6 days till the prices are way to high for you to afford it, and you still only have 4%... Yeah its a rough type of story to understand so let me put it in an even simpler way: If bots were to get banned Merchanting clans would do anything in there power to raise all the prices in the GE (example Rune/Pure Ess). With little to no people mining Essence the Supply would be low while the demand is going to be HIGH. Thus prices would skyrocket. "" Now you gonna tell me that all the people are gonna start actually working for their stuff.. Here is what I am gonna say "No. Why? Because people already gotten used to having a G.E... Gosh I got used to the G.E. people would rather rage on Jagex for no controlling the Merchanting clans. Because that is much easier then going back and forth for HOURS just to get 800+ Essence or 400+ yew logs. (if F2P) Thus in the end bots are needed. Sure without them the game would've been better, but hey we don't always get what we want. Yes this is a long post.. Hopefully some of you would kinda get the idea why bots are useful.
