I have done barrows with lower, but this guide is a way easy and CHEAP.

Anyways, heres he weapon you'll be using.
The Black salamander is the strongest salamander and can be caught using the Hunter skill at level 67. It requires level 70 Attack, Magic and Ranged to wield, and it is 2-handed. Harralander Tar is used as ammunition for the salamander. This weapon attacks at longsword speed.
Warning! The black salamander will NOT appear under your gravestone if you die! This is because it is a live creature, and it will run away. Thankfully, however, they are pretty cheap and can be easily replaced.
Black*Salamander: 293gp 308gp 323gp (Today: +15gp [+5.1%] 30 Day: -17gp [-5.5%] 90 Day: -37gp [-12%]) 180 Day: -61gp [-19.7%])
Those prices will stay nearly the same.
My skillcape is cooking, as it is the easiest to get if you want a skillcape
I will recommend getting that, as it takes like just a few days.
Capes can be replaced for barrows, they're not really required.
I don't bring my firecape as I don't want to lose it.
By the way, I have never died during barrows just to get that clear.
Before we get started, you need to know the route to barrows.

My Route:
The cyan/yellow line is a shortcut people use as myself. Doing a few quests you can enter a trap door behind the bar, and
going through underground and going through a door, going across a bridge, and making your way to the boat.
REMEMBER TO KEEP RUN ON AFTER CROSSING THE BRIDGE.

Start with dharoks, kharil, ahrim, verac, torag, and guthan in that order.

My suggestion is to not become a member until you have at least one skill pretty high that will earn you money. Members is a very expensive thing in game simply because the new various weapons, armor, skills, etc, cost so much to do/buy.
For me I got my woodcutting pretty high and now I'm cutting yews for nearly 500k an hour. If I max it and cut magics I can make around 1M-1.5M an hour.
But assuming you do have a high skill, I suggest doing some quests, buy new armor, or even check out the minigames. It really is up to you. You'll have a great time though.

I want to do the Barrows stuff, but I am in no way ready combat wise for it. I hate going into minigames and being a lower level combat. (73) because I get always outdone or killed.

I use a bot that cuts usually in Seers Village by the church. There are yews in the yard, then I just make a run to the bank and dump my load. The bank is pretty close too.
I cut yews and ivy at the GE with Kbot. ATM I have 83 WC, almost 84.
I raised almost 4 levels with Kbot in 2 days. :)

KBot with Deviant's Wood Cutter. I get around 2 levels each day, so by the end of 9 days I'll have maxed my WC level.
