• Mass Effect 3 - possibly getting multiplayer

I think a 3 member co-op would be awesome, or even just 2 player, or any other multi-player modes.. It seems people are only pessimistic for things like this. I don't doubt BioWare at all.
CO-OP would be fucking amazing, DM not so much. DM would be just a generic 3rd person shooter. Unless they invent some kind of awesome twist.
Don't do it Bioware! Adding MP usually means less effort put into the singleplayer experience.
Mass Effect Co-op storyline taking place before, during and slightly after Mass Effect 2, where you and up to 3 friends prepare the galaxy in the upcoming fight with the Reapers, funded by Cerberus with your own handler. With Shepard in the spotline, your team does the dirty jobs necessary for the galaxy to survive. You choices will affect mission and situations that Shepard would encounter in Mass Effect 3. Honestly, that would be engaging, provided the same quality of care is invested into it as Mass Effect 1 and 2 received. And if it succeeded, along with The Old Republic, the possibility of a Mass Effect MMO would be more than likely.

MP would just be Gears of War. :v: Co-op would be something I'd be interested in and seems like it should have been there from the beginning. You already have NPCs with you at all times, it shouldn't be that hard to replace them with players.
I better have the option to disable join in progress, so I can play the game I believe it is meant to, by yourself.
Personally, I would love to see a co-op mode where someone plays as Shepard and the other person plays as a character that they create. Second player would be able to make a character that is from any race and can also take part in conversations. This would probably not happen, but it would be excellent if they could implement this kind of co-op. Personally, I don't think the multiplayer aspect of it would work too well, as some classes would be more overpowered than others.
They are changing it way too much from an RPG, co-op would be kind of nice but they can't overdo it.

If ME3 gets multiplayer it should be something silly yet fun like lasertag, hookers 'n strippers at the citadel, drink till you pass out from drinking the wrong kind of liquor, and get back at the Omega bartender. :v: Also sex. Fuck the parents give it an AO rating and have at it!

God I hope not, the worst thing that could happen to Mass Effect is losing the character writing and replacing it with 14-year-olds screeching into their headset mikes about headshots and killstreaks.
Is Mass Effect 3 really a PS3 exclusive, or was it just a bad dream?
Why would they make a game, That was Never on the PS3, Exclusive to the PS3? That would be the biggest mistake Bioware would make.
Mass Effect MMO one can dream I guess.

I like Mass Effect as a singleplayer game, I'm not ready to pay 15€ a month for some grinding action.
I like Mass Effect as a singleplayer game, I'm not ready to pay 15€ a month for some grinding action.
So don't.
I'd prefer they focused on the singleplayer, instead of taking time out of singleplayer development and putting it into multiplayer. I'd hate to see the quality of the series decline because of something so trivial. Mass Effect is one of my favorite series, and it has always been perfect as a singleplayer game. [editline]11:45PM[/editline]
Mass Effect MMO one can dream I guess.
That would remove all things good about the series. Which is the story and character development. If it was an MMO everyone would have to play the hero. The voice acting wouldn't be there, you wouldn't CARE why you are doing something in the game, you most likely wouldn't even bother reading about why you are supposed to be retrieving 8 weapon mods or some other crap like that. You'd just accept the mission and then do it and run back.

Didn't EA say all there games will have MP in 2011 or something cant remember.
Didn't EA say all there games will have MP in 2011 or something cant remember.
I fucking hope that ME3 won't have MP.
I hope not. It might be fun to have a multiplayer game set in the ME universe but I just wouldn't like it. It would only take away from singleplayer.
I would be cool with a co-op that's set alongside the main campaign with two new characters fighting geth or mercenarys or whatever but not at the cost of any single player content.
Well, actually... some multiplayer versions of the major wars in the past might be cool. The wars on Tuchunka, Geth vs. Quarians during the first war, the Contact Wars between Humans and Turians...
You guys are saying that it will take away from single player. How? They are hiring new people to do the multiplayer, the guys working on singleplayer will likely be just working on singleplayer. Anyways, they might have decided against multiplayer already.
I'm more likely guessing that those MP programmers are needed for stuff that comes after ME3. I mean, what would be the point of getting MP programmers for game that has been in developement for 3+ months. [editline]07:32PM[/editline] Unless the MP will be just stuck on top of the game
