I'm pretty sure Valve stated that Portal 2 was gonna be PS3 exclusive for consoles, or at least that's what they said at E3.

They said the PS3 was going to be the best experience console wise, not that it was the only console platform it's on.

Damn you smasher.

Thank you for correcting me.

Just pre-ordered. :D
Just pre-ordered, can't wait.
So, I ordered the PS3 version from Amazon today which means I'll be getting a physical copy for the PS3.
Firstly, will I get a disc with the PC version on it? (Unlikely, I know.)
And is there a way I can download it now?
You can buy just the box with CD from someone on the Internet...
Pre-Ordering!
If I preorder from Amazon Portal 2, how will I know if I get skins?
The page said nothing about skins.

Maybe it's amazon.de only?

Must be.
Tell me, pc or ps3, steam or amazon?
(or a finnish store with a 36€ price for the pc)
steam-pc
So, I've ordered P2.
One problem, I can't find the extra copy of Portal 1 that P2 'supposedly' comes with.

Check your email?
Ah, found it. Due to Steam having a new look it didn't have the "1 Extra Copy" thingy that Steam had before the overlay change. If I click on Portal, to the far right on Steam it says "Send Guest Pass", which I assume is my free extra copy of P1.
I pre-ordered Portal 2 today. Not on Steam, though. Portal 2's an awesome game and thus I wanted the casing.
Also, did anyone else get by the "Portal Fever"? I played Portal 1 several times recently and I also played Portal: Prelude and finished it quickly.

I know. I played Portal through again, when I'm bored at school I draw Rattmann-like motives on the back of my notes, and I even started doing little Portal paper cut-outs!
I just had a theory on the portal pin
Since that guy got one by co-oping with a Valve employee, it is likely that to gain it we would have to complete an achievement where we co-op with a guy on our friends list or maybe even a stranger and then we get the item in tf2.
But that would make the companion cube pin an achievement item and non-tradable. Which is a good thing I guess.
Sounds likely.

Yeah, i finished Portal again (its like the 10 time) and i dont get bored, Valve really did a good job with that game, but i change the radio music to a blank.wma because it breaked the atmosphere.
Have any more preorder bonuses been found since Steam got it?
If we preorder on steam, we don't get the Amazon or Gamestop skins do we?
It doesn't look like it, which means most of the world can't get them.
:arghfist::frown:
Mine was re-enabled. Basically they only disabled you if you were in the Portal 2 chat and were reported by a bunch of crybaby steam users.
FUCK!!!
My account was disabled now! What the flying fuck Valve?!
I swear to god this is fucking absurd if that was the reason.
EDIT: Apologies to Valve, this was entirely my fault, and in no way related to tricking steam into thinking I was playing Portal 2.
EDIT 2: Let's just say, it's not smart to post anything related to your account info online.
EDIT 3: Rated myself dumb too, trust me; Burton humiliated me.
So there's absolutely no way of me preloading Portal 2 short of buying a digital copy or buying a CD with it on?
So there's absolutely no way of me preloading Portal 2 short of buying a digital copy or buying a CD with it on?
Actually the CD would end up as a Digital Copy on Steam anyway and you would get it after pre-load time.
[editline]23rd February 2011[/editline]
At least that's what I've heard.

But wouldn't it be theoretically possible to just copy the files from the disk to your computer then? Or is that not possible?

I guess so. If you get the *ahem* DVD before release date.

It'd probably install like any other Valve Retail copy and you'd be waiting to play it.
