Because I am a whore for views. (Bring on dem boxes)
Could've done without the screaming at the end, none-the-less
I don't understand, what promo things are happening besides the free copy of portal? Didn't Gabe/Robin say in one of the interview threads on here that they had some neat promo stuff lined up? So you can get it from: Amazon Gamestop Steam I hear other places give you skins for the multiplayer robots, what sites are these? I see no specifics
Well I'll be pre-ordering this tomorrow, I need to get a topup on my pre-paid mastercard.
Meh, I'll wait for it to get cheaper.
Well, do we get the custom skinned bots as a pre-order bonus or not?
Doesn't seem like it. However, the PS3 version will for certain. :woop:
I sent gabe a mail:
Hello, Mr. Newell! Since Portal 2 went up for pre-order just a few hours ago, I noted that you get a free Portal 1. Very clever. Guessing one is supposed to gift it to someone who doesn't have P1, and then they decide to pre-order P2, etc. etc? Now, of course pre-ordering is all fine, and the free Portal 2 is okay too, but are you planning a co-op demo or single-player demo as well? Seeing how giving someone Portal 2 pre-order is alright for a gift, it's not really "perfect", considering you have no way to play it until the game releases, which makes it... well, useless to pre-order (besides to lowered price). A demo of some sort (if just the tech demos we have seen) would make up for this greatly, and I'm pretty sure it would encourage people to buy it due to the fact they get to test the game out first. Moving on. I noticed how Steams pricing is a bit off. The UK price is £26.99, EU price is €45.99 and US price is $45.99. What's wrong here is that the euro-price is higher, and the UK price is lower, than the US price. This is a really big punch to the face for us Europeeans, since we have to pay more than everyone else. I know this is something that applies to all games on Steam - but why? It gets really annoying. Thanks for reading my awfully long mail -Coyotez, Steam user.
If I was gabe newell I would not want to read that long ass email. I would eat a donut or something.
I sent gabe an email too.
Why would you do that?

If I was gabe newell I would not want to read that long ass email. I would eat a donut or something.
Or polish your set of customised antique knives
I sent gabe a mail:
Oh, come on. The UK have been getting higher game prices for some time, we get one lower one and you email Gabe about it. It'd best not change. Maybe EU and US, but not the UK's one.
Seems they added a "Two-pack" now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/620 [editline]14th February 2011[/editline]
we get one lower one and you email Gabe about it.
I did not know this.
Cool, free copy of Portal.
I will see about getting the 2 pack with a friend
Here's an idea for all you European people complaining about Euros and Dollars and all sorts of international trade nonsense... Put $45 worth of Euros in a paypal account, convert them to dollars, and use them to purchase Portal. Congratulations, crisis averted. Enjoy your day.
Totally going to buy the two-pack and surprise a friend. :3:

You'd still need to pay the same price, that's just making it harder.
Totally going to buy the two-pack and surprise a friend. :3:
Can i be your friend ? :ohdear:
Just preordered it. Can't wait for a tf2 blog post about it.
Useless. You'd still need to pay the same price, that's just making it harder.
How would you have to pay the same price? You'd be saving $15... Unless you didn't read, which is what I'm thinking happened. If you put $45 American dollars worth of Euros in paypal and converted them to American dollars, you'd have $45 American dollars. Where is this not connecting?
I am looking for someone from the UK to "gift" me the Two-Pack. I'll pay you 50£ via paypal. Please PM me or add me on steam.
I already got my pre-order from Gamestop. Can't wait, nonetheless!
traded my max severed head for two portal 2's , one for my friend and one for myself. good trade :v:?
Something that offers no enjoyment for a videogame? Sounds like a damn good trade considering the game you emerged victorious with.
