i know that the trywow (trial) client where you download while you play can't be used with the retail game, but does anyone know if the download finishes while im playing, will i have to re-download the game once i buy it?

as far as i know trial client is exactly the same as retail it just streams more and theres some serverside restrictions? if it is indeed the same theres no need to redownload just upgrade your account and done

i'm nearly certain that, as marla said, they are the exact same. there is a big buy now button or something on top of the login screen but it's still the full client, this button isn't there once you log in with a full account.

actually i'm not too sure now, i was near certain they were the same clients but after reading [url]http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=20590[/url], specifically " If you decide you want to download the full version of the game client, even if your connection speeds are high enough for the streaming trial, you may do so here:", it sounds like it's another client and you will have to redownload stuff.

internally i dont see anything different with the client, it streams from the [url=http://ak.worldofwarcraft.com.edgesuite.net/wow-pod-retail/EU/12911.streaming/wow-13329-0658AFCDDF4D212A872B108F25947FA4.mfil]same place[/url] as normal clients do even the same fucking config "SET installType "Retail"" the only thing different is SET accounttype "RT" so i dont see why one would have to reinstall the whole fucking client after upgrading your account to full

also i managed to login to my full account on the trial client so thats not changed either

"The Not-So-Friendly Skies" is such a bullshit quest. They want me to kill these mobs and collect 10 items which is fine. What isn't fine is that they're flying mobs with ranged attacks and they don't land. I'm a warrior. The only ranged attack I have is auto-shoot and taunt.

Anyway, you can use websites like wowhead.com to look up exact items, wowpedia.com for general pages/wiki. Google may take you to an outdated armory page, like the one you were taken to. The Stormwind tabard you see is bought from a vendor at the bottom of the ramp in SW that leads to the flight master.
