Two bros want to do some 5 mans, I log in for the first time in 4 weeks. Take hour and a half to run one instance. Two bosses were solo'd by us (Priest, Mage, Warlock) because the tank has no awareness whatsoever and the other DPS has no gear.
I LOVE the new heroics, Deadmines is amazing, but the fact that I have to put 2 hours away for one instance (queue time, pauses in the dungeon, wipes, just the dungeon itself) really dissuades me from playing.

how so exactly? because from what i've seen ret is currently the lowest DPS on the charts, it relies completely on procs to do any decent amount of DPS. they ruined divine storm by making it share a CD with crusader strike and it does almost no damage or healing now. Excorcism is the highest damage ability we have and if it doesn't proc multiple times during a fight, you can easily lose around 300 DPS and if you can't get your mastery to proc multiple times it's pretty much over.
now how is a spec that relies on you being lucky good?

Anyone know the reason for the big upward flux in mages? I don't know if it's just my server, but there used to be way less before Cataclysm hit.
I use the WoW census addon and mages are usually a near second most most played aside from one of the fewest in Wrath.
Overpowered kicked in.
