A guy just got realm first 85 Paladin on Azjol-Nerub EU. Apparently he has played non stop since release 13 hours ago.
The guy who got Realm First on my server was playing for about 11 hours.
My server is better at WoW than yours.

also, the illustrious x realm first started happening about 1 hour after release
