Holy dickcheese it actually made it. Good, it's something i'd love to see.
it went over... by a fair margin haha
It's gone up by $7,000 since then, damn.
How do the Takedown guys wish to explain this? http://industrywatchdog.blogspot.com/2012/03/takedown-copyright-infringement.html
That's pretty sad they had to steal photos to fake concept art I'm glad I didn't pledge any money.
That's pretty sad they had to steal photos to fake concept art
To be fair they probably just used them to whip up something quickly since they may not have a dedicated concept artist working for them, or maybe a concept artist who may work for them just did something quickly. Also, at least with the second one, its not like they just cut out the people and guns and just cartoonised them, there are actual differences. Prorably someone just sued the photos as stock but drew over them either for accuracy or just for quickness.
Wow, I didn't think it would make it. That's great.

I am interested in this, but paying money for a game's pitch before any screenshots or gameplay or anything is just stupid.
I am interested in this, but paying money for a game's pitch before any screenshots or gameplay or anything is just stupid.
the money is just an expression of interest. It's not like they can take it and run, kickstarter will refund if a finished product is not made (or presumably, if it's utter shit)
That's still lazy and illegal
it's a grey area, not blatantly illegal.
That's still lazy and illegal
its better than an AAA company with lots of budget lazily editing a stock image to reveal one of the main characters in the series. *cough* mass effect 3 *cough*

What I'm saying is that you're pretty much paying full price for the pre-order before anything about the game is shown. You're preordering based off of the game's ideas. Any logical person should wait until they see actual gameplay to see if it lives up to their expectations, and then consider buying it if it does.

Using stock imagery to convey an idea when production hasn't begun versus using stock imagery in the final product to cut corners.
Holy fucking shit they made it!

the forums are filled with mongs, someone suggested a crossbow lmao
the forums are filled with mongs, someone suggested a crossbow lmao
there's always going to be the kiddies, seems like there's a reasonably good community on the forums though.
Can't believe they made it! Ah man, now if the man can convince a publisher that isn't retarded to publish it, we'll be set. Oh how I miss those long nights of Raven Shield. The Tacticool days are coming once again.

[editline]2nd April 2012[/editline] It's like saying "why do movie producers pay money to make movies if they haven't even seen anything out of the movie?"
the forums are filled with mongs, someone suggested a crossbow lmao
tactical crossbow with tacticool gadgets ... perfectly realistic :)
tactical crossbow with tacticool gadgets ... perfectly realistic :)
You mean it isn't? MY WHOLE LIFE IS A LIE
sounds like swat 5 that never came
Fuck yes. Glad things sped up at the end for them.
tactical crossbow with tacticool gadgets ... perfectly realistic :)
shit, you might aswell implement a trebuchet for door breaching, it'd make the same amount of sense
Yeeeessss!!! :D
shit, you might aswell implement a trebuchet for door breaching, it'd make the same amount of sense
Carrying a catapult around is as realistic as carrying a crossbow around?
I am personally not interested in this project but I'm glad that yet another indie developer got their project funded. I wish them luck.
tactical crossbow with tacticool gadgets ... perfectly realistic :)
Hey can u put throwing knives in arma 3 pls? plus dual wielding
Hey can u put throwing knives in arma 3 pls?
only if they're realistically modeled and you have to manually flip the knife to adjust for range, :P Oh, and properly animated. Don't be lazy and reuse the grenade animation.

Also, Takedown will be coming to greenlight soon, so it'd be great to get some support from here!
