Got a new video card a few days ago (5770) and decided I would try the benchmark again, only got about 600 points higher on the high resolution and only got 3368 (total) on the lower resolution one).

Someone on Eorzeapedia.com was taking character creation requests, so I asked if they could make one for me and this is how it turned out:

I like it, there will be a few differences for my actual character though.
Currently like level 15/rank 13 marauder.
Tried Behest last night at rank 10, way too low really for that. Was able to complete it because I was partying with a guy rank 18.

I'm gonna snap some shots of battles later, maybe some video. I only get to play a few hours of the day right now, so I'd say I've got like 8-10 hours maybe total this week? Just finished the second quest chain, for what appears to be the main storyline for Limsa Lominsa. Pretty fun stuff. I really love the npc facial reactions to stuff that happens during cutscenes. (they react with a face of surprise when someone says something shocking etc)
So, so much content not accessible right now. The full game is going to be huge.

So how is the game so far? Of course it's the beta but I am highly interested in this MMO.
It's pretty kickass. I had my first party experience the other night and that was definitely a lot of fun.
Large-scale battles are something I really want to see in this game. I hope they don't try for PvP at all. FFXI was great because they focused on game content balancing rather than trying to balance player fighting.
Didn't FFXI have some kind of arena for players to fight each other in?
Yes, but I don't think it was used much.
Yeah, it was called Ballista. And it really wasn't that much fun. Really poorly balanced. Mages would just freeze you in place and rape you. Didn't really have cash to blow on all the remedies and whatnot for getting unbound by enemy attacks so it really came down to who had more money for what.
I really hope they just avoid this crap and just go with an awesome game with good party based content.
