gah seriously? Those keys were gone in less than 5 minutes before, I would sub but I don't really wanna risk not getting one :(
I guess I got lucky. I saw a thread on FFXIVcore and took the chance, needed to use a NA proxy to get my key.
But the vip thing is free? Just sub and look out when they put up new keys. Just remember to cancel your sub after so you don't lose money.

na, todays batch of keys were supposed to be given atleast 3 days ago but they didn't recieve them and that was supposed to be the last day and it's now removed from the front page.

jumping from 10-150kb/s and can't get a steady speed, trying the torrent way as the launcher just gives virtually no speed due to the huge upload...

anyone got a spare beta key? I really want to play this game badly, and I cannot even find websites that gave out keys... most of the giveaways ended early auguest 8-16
I did my beta registration at the website before it closes... I do believe twice or 3 times, yet no beta key was giving to me. I look up on most of the website and found out that all of them has ended the giveaway. Also fileplanet, famous greedy bastard won't let the free-bies get any of the god damn beta keys.
Torrent didn't work for me at all, I got like 5kb/s max so I just leaved the launcher alone.
Also go to C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads and open upnp_port_mapping.log, copy the port after External Port.
Now go to your gamefolder, open ffxivconfig.exe, go to General, select use instead of automatic and paste the port.
My speed doubled that way, don't know if you need to open that specific port. I really hate how my upload speed is like 700 while download is 120.
Those of you that don't have keys yet- don't stress too much. You're better off waiting and experiencing the game at the open beta phase in ~2 weeks. The client is gonna see another massive update, hopefully fixing the major complaints and UI issues. Hopefully the changelog is real good this time around, bout a month from now we'll be playing the launch version on 9-22.

Doing that just makes the launchers upload full and my download is averaging 0kb/s :iia:

Alright I made a Lalafell (Dunesfolk female) Conjurer on the server Shadowlord.
I can't stop laughing over the running animation, but goddamn is this game beautiful or what? I'm running everything on highest settings expect Ambient occlusion, 1680x1050.
Just found out you can transfer your character's name over to FFXIV.

That's what I'm playing on. I have some friends I met on this server, we're planning to re-roll together when the full game launches. Plus my RL friend will be joining me.

I hope the open beta is x3 times longer then the closed beta test. I want to play this game before I think about purchasing it in the future.
