Got myself a key, and downloaded the beta clie...

This game needs some sort of tutorial. When I level up I have no idea if I should value Intelligence over Mind as a conjurer. I don't know what the difference is.
I also don't know how to recharge my MP any other way than visiting the big crystal thing in town.

I don't get it, i died in that mole quest, and now i can't retry it. This really is a beta, nothing tells me what to do either.
Buying a key for $5, for you guys waiting like 30 hours, you'll be able to get another by the time that time runs up.

Big deal. There's tons of people that did exactly what you did. I played FFXI from release to 2009 and bought the CE edition. I didn't get a beta key either, nor should that have automatically entitled me to one.

I know it doesn't entitle me to a key but still.... Half of these people that have keys are either waiting 30 hours to download it or they are going to play it for 20 minutes then say fuck it, I have been guilty of the same thing within betas but it should've been handed out using the client itself, not a website because at least that would ensure they're giving the keys out to the people who can and will actually use them.

Yes, there is loot when you kill stuff. There is also random treasure chests in the zones, which is sweet
Oh god this game is so confusing, how the hell do i equip actions? And the bad optimisation and mouse lag makes this almost non-playable..
They'll most likely have the hardware mouse added by release. Plus there's a bunch of beta shit running so the actual game client will perform better + graphics drivers incoming

Thank god for that. It's still in beta I don't think they have much of a tutorial going just run around and kill stuff, thats what I've been doing.

Then don't play. It's got a learning curve, you just have to learn where stuff is at. Nobody knows where anything is yet, there's no wiki or anything to search stuff- it's a beta.
