STOP using the downloader. For fucks sake, type in D2010 (or H2010 depending on the type of version update) in your search start menu and open the torrent file with a better client, such as uTorrent. Never have issues downloading these files with uTorrent and if you do, you're probably doing something wrong.
I never have problems with the downloader, about 1-2MB/s. edit: And now when i come home to play, they released an update, and now it crashes when i log in.
Is there a Galka Female yet :v:?
I want to like this game but I don't get why there is nothing to do. What am I missing?
I want to like this game but I don't get why there is nothing to do. What am I missing?
Content to play unfortunately. I really want to like this game too but it seems seems impossible.
Content to play unfortunately. [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/1284319687.jpg[/img_thumb] Wow, I thought someone would have taken that name already.
My downloader isn't even downloading anything.
If you looked at the posts above, people said that torrenting the game is better.
Content to play unfortunately. I really want to like this game too but it seems seems impossible.
You're expecting too much for beta. It's not the full game. There's no main story quests or missions available to us yet. Judge the game when you purchase and start playing on the 22nd or 30th.
I didn't realise it wasn't all there. Isn't that unusual?

Judge the game when you purchase and start playing on the 22nd or 30th.
Not really expecting too much, open beta is often what we play at release and considering it's so close i really REALLY hope that they're not bullshitting about holding back content i really do but due to so many betas being the end product I'm sure you can understand the serious doubt I have about this game. I want to play this at release, I hope if/what they're holding back is substantial enough to warrant buying it. Maybe SE will pull through and prove what we're seeing right now is nothing compared to what we'll see in a little over a week. I may sound negative but It's mainly doubt from so many open betas being what we end up paying for and then end up being disappointed with it.
They recommend 15 GB for installation + 6 GB for download. My current installation/folders is under 9 GB. There's tons of stuff that we won't have until we install the full version on release day.
This game really has a lack for explaining shit when it comes to tutorial leves... How the hell do I collect honey? I go up to the sparkly shit, and it says to use some skill, but I either don't have it, or I'm looking in the wrong place...? :|
Heh yeah this beta isn't too good at explaining. You gotta check your guildleve and make sure you get the right leve for the right disciple. Disciples of War cannot do what Disciples of Hand can do, and vise versa. The honey collecting? Lemme guess, you need to do that Arbor call skill? Well, you gotta be a botanist, a Disciple of Land. Great fun yes? Heres a wiki for all your confusing needs. http://www.eorzeapedia.com/wiki/en/Main_Page
If you are a veteran player if FFXI , ffxiv will probably take the same trend as xi when it was released. There was enough content to keep you playing. Then eventually there were expansion packs. As of late ffxi has been releasing mini content packs that cost x amount of dollars, hopefully in xiv, if there is a lack of content they will go about delivering new content through patches similar to the mini content packs like in xi. I am very confident that this release will be worth the money that is invested for the monthly fee and the collectors/regular editions of the game. XI became very active in delivering content as the game matured and established its player base, although many people complain about this/that, its an MMO this is what people do, but for the most part the devs that are in charge of 11 in the last few years have became very proactive in providing content for 11, some say its too little too late, but w/e. I hope and i think that 14 will have picked up where 11 has left off in the sense of content delivery to keep the audience involved with their investment.
Oh yeah, where can i get a straw hat?
Have someone craft it for you!
I guess, but since the last update i can't even start it anymore.
Have any of you been able to get into the XIV lobby this morning?
Seems like we can preorder it now, 62$ :saddowns: Woo, i got in! Average of 20 fps now.
Never played WoW, or have anything against it, but thought this was pretty funny.
Not a fucking toon
I really don't understand why people want this game so badly, why is it good? I don't see anything even somewhat interesting in the entire thing. What's the draw? Am I just missing something?
Well the people who really want it badly are for the most part veterans of final fantasy 11, like myself i played 11 a lot and when there was hint of 14 it really made a lot of people either happy or sad that 11 would eventually stop having content released. Even to this day 11 has a pretty strong fan base and the game has been changed in many ways that have made it better and in some opinions worse, i think it has made vast improvements over the years. The end game for 11 is very fun, especially if you played 11 since launch, each time a new expansion was added or even mini expansion it was fun to see new content. Now with 14 i think people especially pro14 (as in for and against "pro") veterans are very excited to see the new end game that 14 will provide. Although i am skeptical that most of the play seems centered around guild leves.
I just got into the beta because my friends are playing it. Not really a fan of MMOs but I'll give this a try since my friends recommend it and it's a Final Fantasy
People need to take the beta for what it is, a beta. Although the devs do seem to be pushing this release date , i think the game for the first few months will share a similar fate with the release that 11 had. It was very buggy and the game was not playable on certain servers due to lag for weeks. I loved ffxi , i HOPE i love this game simple as that.
