Why is it that I rarely get 100+ skillpoints on archer? I wanna get to rank 20 before i'm 50 years old for petesake.
It's the starting bow, so I'm going to assume I can't trade it with anyone (not that I know how to open a bazaar in the first place). Looks like I have to learn carpentry. :saddowns:
Yes, you offer money for repairs through your menu. You can do it with any weapon, it doesn't matter.
dag nabbit Wal Mart doesn't carry it. I have to wait like 9 whole hours still to go harass the clerks at Best Buy. Anyone on Server Kashuan? I'm joining a group of RL friends there so I'm not budging that decision. also CATGIRLS, WE MEET AGAIN :fuckyou:
got 939 on the benchmark using 1280x720 option. Couldn't do 1920x1080 properly since this laptop can only support up to 1600x900. Oh well.
oh, zealous idiot best buy review people...
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Final+Fantasy+XIV+Online+-+Windows/1089276.p?skuId=1089276&id=1218219326958#tabbed-customerreviews

Offer them a tip + the mat, but the tip (1-2k) up in your bazaar, offering to repair the item that is broken.
I tried doing this but I can't seem to get it right. What should I offer with the item I want repaired? And if I'm away then how will I give people the tip? I suck at this. :v:
About the review Dai posted, they really do have some issues with those install disks. I had one myself and I had to download the torrent to get the files.
About the review Dai posted, they really do have some issues with those install disks. He even posted ratings on the game length.
I get 4042 in Benchmark, dunno if dats good. But i've never been into Final Fantasy so i'm prob. not gonna get it.
I've leveled up quite a lot now, the game (besides the UI problems and the terrible retainer system) was fun at first while it was all new, but it's really starting to get boring to me. I haven't even done any mob grinding, all I've basically done is every 36 hours is do all my Leves in each city & Join parties doing them and repeat. (Rarely join parties though considering that EXP bug for parties of 3+ that they have yet still haven't fixed.) To me there is really no incentive to do anything else, since the best EXP gained is from Guildleves. All I have to look forward to at this point is at Rank 20 Main Quest / Class Quest. I really hope they come out with patches, to fix the Slow UI / Party EXP Bug, add some sort of search to Retainers at least and I really do think it's inexcusable on how there is no Sorting for the items list at all. Besides all that more content questwise seriously, the Main Quest has been all nice and all, but besides Guildleves... eh? I wouldn't mind that much if Leves didn't have a limit. Of course lower rewards to compensate that. Game kinda feels really rushed too in the sense that there is a ton of places that look like place holders for stuff. Really wanted to like this game, but it's not going so great so far, I'll keep on playing, but if I don't see some improvements soon, I'll just stop.
So, tell me before I go and buy this, is it worth the money? Like, REALLY worth it?

Think this is still the case?

Think this is still the case?
Never played the other Online FF, SE did say this was way more Solo friendly. Though I can pretty much say so far, (at least as a Gladiator) I'm wasting time trying to level while in a party, I get much better EXP Solo. This isn't even taking in consideration the 3+ Player Party bug that causes 0 Rank EXP gain even though it says otherwise. The random Rank EXP gain choice from them was pretty bad choice imo too, I could go Solo something that is considered "orange" difficulty to me (like say one of those Goats) gain like 200 Rank EXP, then go fight something "green" and also gain 200.
So my exciting adventure to repair my trusty bow has come to an end as I got off my lazy ass and learned carpentry. Only took me 2 days to do it aswell... good times. :allears:

Sweet. ...dammit why is it I can only toggle ALL names on or off. I want to know who's who... but could give less of a fuck for the giant stationary reminder of what my own character's name is. :argh:
I'm spending more time trying to coordinate friends for screenshots than play the game tonight ...dammit it adds a copyright when you screenshot with Scroll Lock + PrtScr anyone else getting some good shots?
Almost makes me want to make a miquote archer :pervert: [editline]04:22AM[/editline] I know strewth got some.... "good" shots, if you want to ask him about that sort of thing :v:
I'll make some good shots around Limsa Lominsa when I get home, some pretty stunning places around there.
I'll make some good shots around Limsa Lominsa when I get home, some pretty stunning places around there.
I have yet to visit, I started a character in Ul'dah, then deleted it and started in the forest city Gardenia or whatever it's called. Wanted to see the opening cutscenes, had already gotten a taste of Limsa from the benchmark and such. Might take some time and walk that direction tomorrow.
So somehow my character's underwear got damaged while I was doing the botanist leves... I don't even know...
you ate some poisonous berries and had stomach problems.
you ate some poisonous berries and had stomach problems.
:ohdear: What if the cause is 'that time' in the month... y'know... since my character is a Miqo'te...
I know strewth got some.... "good" shots, if you want to ask him about that sort of thing :v:
This is true. :v: http://filesmelt.com/dl/fddf.jpg
apparently this game, is a croc of shit? would anyone beg to differ, i like the look of it but am yet to buy...
Is there a trial for this game? I don't want to buy it and find out I don't like it.
I think the only trial you would have found was the open beta they had... You might have to wait some time in the future for a free 30 day thing.
scout sent me this picture so I had to do a little paintin' :buddy:
