-snip- I'm stupid
This game still crap? Not trolling but was thinking about getting it on launch but it kinda failed so was waiting to see if it improved.
It only failed cause no reviews pointed out what was good about it.
Is it me, or does Protect seem to do absolutely nothing? I'm fighting some moles and they hit about 100 with or without Protect on.
You obviously didn't read the sub-note: "*does not work against moles for some reason"
Ugh, just found out I have to be rank 26 to continue with the main storyline. I'm only rank 16 :( Time to pull out this leveling guide I have and start doing quests edit I also wanted to ask what this was in this picture that's flying http://filesmelt.com/dl/FFXIV_1294268953.jpg
Airship. We can see them flying across the skyline, but we're currently unable to ride on them in game. Guessing that'll happen when Ishgard opens up. And I'm pretty sure there is a war about to break out in-game in Eorzea too, possibly in the next few patches or something. That'd be fucking cool.
This game needs a trial so badly. I found XI so charming, and XIV has the same appeal, but I'm just not sure.
This game needs a trial so badly.
This. But I just went ahead and bought the game even after hearing/reading bad reviews. So if you're interested even after that, I suggest trying to find it cheap somewhere. Got my copy for only 20 euros.
Been looking to try this for a while but it still lacks a trial; How much is it per month to play? Might pop down to game and just jump in the deep end.
Looks Fun but they should of really listen to the players during beta testing.
Been looking to try this for a while but it still lacks a trial; How much is it per month to play? Might pop down to game and just jump in the deep end.
The monthly fee is still suspended as far as I'm aware.
The monthly fee is still suspended as far as I'm aware.
I think it is, and for the time being, suspended until they "fix" the game. I do like that, how the developers are actually apologizing to an extent and fixing the game. Makes me want the game even more.
So, right now it's buy to play, until everything is settled and 90% of the complainers stop complaining? Sorry, kinda slow.
Yes. Now to find a place where they sell it cheaper than 70$.
Im probably going to pick this up soon, giving it a try. I am a fan of the Final Fantasy series and I have no mmo to play :v:
Hi everyone, being a PUG rank 14, which crafting proffesion should I level? I have almost all of my points put into STR and VIT, and I've heard that the outcome of crafing is influenced by how you assigned the stats, so I would like to pick up a crafter class that suits my current point distribution.
I've read that all you really need to level up is Vitality, Strength/Mind (depending on if you're a fighter/caster). It seems the other abilities have little effect on what else you do. You also need to pay attention to the glowing orb when crafting things. White = Low chance of failing Yellow = Normal chance of failing Red - High chance of failing Flashing = Unstable, but if you're successful it gives a better reward. I usually hit "Wait" on Red/Flashing two or three times before I go ahead and do a standard craft. Also, if whatever it is you're trying to craft is near your crafting level, then you should mostly do a standard craft. When you get higher level though then you might want to start using rapid/bold. I think I also read that the amount of XP you get depends on the quality of the craft.
I played some beta/trial thing for this last year, was pretty disappointed that it's pay monthly (cause I really liked it) as for some reason mum won't let me get pay-monthly games even if I offer to pay for them. .....time to start waiting for guild wars 2 :c
Not gonna lie after watching my neighbor play this game at his house, this looks like one train wreck of an MMO.
Uhh oops. Wrong thread >_>
The new developer post this morning has given me new hope. Plus they're gonna rename the classes to more traditional names like Monk, White Mage etc. Fucking awesome.
Saw that post, still wonder how long everything will take, I like how lack of content had the most votes, hopefully it can turn into a great game. Is there even any guest passes or buddy keys for this game by the way?
What the fuck is this shit? I bought the game today, and now i have to pay to create a character? Oh, now the trial worked. Meh, it still sucks, i want a refund.
I'm not playing it again until a new major version update is released. Too many problems get in the way of me enjoying the game. The developer post has given me new hope that this game isn't a lost cause though.
New post today about the next update details. Setting us up for probably two major content patches in February if this hits before this month ends.
Big patch hits tomorrow, finally
Hopefully it includes some significant changes, or at least paves the way for them.
Hopefully it includes some significant changes, or at least paves the way for them.
You been reading the posts? It's a big update.
Just finished reading the patch notes, looks good. Great to see that they're acting on feedback.
You been reading the posts? It's a big update.
I've been reading the producer's letters, but it was hard to find what exactly they were adding in this patch. They have a big list of "Planned" stuff, but don't mention when it is coming, unless I missed something.
Is there a changelog of this big update?
