Not really sure. Then again I've never played any other MMO besides FF11, and even then, I only played a little bit of it. Only got to level 14 before I had to quit.

You guys got the benchmark to run? It crashes on me. I have a i7 and a ATI Radeon 5750 and I got a 0 on the benchmark.

Apparently, I was accepted into the beta some time ago, but couldn't connect to the beta site, so just said fuck it. Today I received an email a beta client will be available tomorrow, so I tried to connect to the beta site and now it worked. Well, guess I'll download the client tomorrow then and see what is this.

So a few days ago I went and put a $5 deposit on XIV, does that basically mean that i'm garunteed a copy of the CE as long as when I show up I pay the rest of the price?

You pay the deposit, the game releases and you have a guaranteed copy there, and then you go in and pay the rest for it. I like that tbh, it feels like you get so much more out of it when you sub to a game.

I wonder just how similar this game is to FFXI.
